Update: I asked WordPress.com and their AI suggested the Import External Images plugin, which will fix the post dates. But it is no longer available. Are there any alternatives to the plugin or any other method I can employ to fix this?

Thanks, George. I did get in touch with the theme’s vendor, but they washed their hands off it. “We are not responsible for custom changes that were done in the child theme,” they said.

That’s why I came here. But if this platform also won’t help me, then where do I go? I’m really in a fix here.
