Hi Sayed,

Thank you for the update. My site is bettermeforlife.com but you won’t see the errors there. I see the errors in my Google Webmaster tools under Search Appearance–> Structured Data. Some of my category pages and blog pages have errors in this section.

For example, this URL:

https://bettermeforlife.com/kiwi-orange-apple-green-smoothie/

shows these error in the Google Webmaster tools:

hentry (microformats.org)
Missing: author
Missing: updated

It’s strange, because only 8 pages seem to have these errors out of the hundreds I have. Somehow something went wrong with them.

Hi Danny,

I applied your latest update and it has fixed my issue – thanks for that ??

I called godaddy support to try to get OpenSSL updated to 1.0.1f but they cannot as it is a shared hosted server.

It sounds like the update you provided is a temporary fix until you can get more of this sorted out, so I thought this info might be useful.

I’m having the same issue after upgrading WP to 4.4

The code for function.php (above) works for me – thanks a bunch for that!

server: Linux hosting with cPanel (godly hosting)
PHP: 5.5
cURL: 7.19.7
OpenSSL: 1.0.1e
