Disable or uninstall Falang don’t break site in all the sites i make test.

i will make this test
1 – install a wp
2 – install falang
3 – install 2 languages
4 – create a menu (put in the footer 2)
4 – translate a post
5 – cretae a menu language switcher add it to the menu
6 – unpublish Falang (no problem , the site work in the default language english)
7 – delete Falang (no problem the site is still available)

i make my test with tastwp (wp 5.8)

When in Falang Settings “Auto-detect language when language is not specified in url” is checked you need to have “Show slug for main language” checked too.

It’s in the todolist to improve this feature.

Actually when you set the automatic detection you have to enabled the display default language slug.

i have to improve Falang to allow automatic detection and hide slug for main languge but it’s need language cookie for that

This can work with a little change in the BetterDocs plugin.

in the file
wp-content/plugins/betterdocs/public/betterdocs-shortcodes.php
line 880 change
$get_post = get_post($get_args[‘post_id’]);
$post_content = $get_post->post_content;
to
$post_content = apply_filters(‘the_content’, get_the_content());

it will work in the same way because the $get_args[‘post_id’] is get with get_the_ID()

you can use the language in menu see on fabboba.com the documentation.

1 – i will probably work soon on a plugin extension to migrate from WPML to Falang. I receive a test WPML site for that

2 – I haven’t tested ACF and Divi together , it’s the same on a sample Divi page with ACF insided in a module ? just to find a quick way to reproduce the problem

No it’s not possible with Falang and i think it’s the same with all Multilanguage plugin.
language code is always in the url or sub domain.
