In reply to: [Archives Calendar Widget] Error after upgrade to version 0.9.9Thanks for the prompt support Alek!
You’re spot on. I did not worry about PHP upgrade for years (thought these were automatically being taken care of by my hosting service). Looks I was still running on 5.2.
I’ve upgraded to 5.4 and I’ ready to update my archive plugin now once you’ll release this promising new version!
Thanks again for pointing me to the PHP update.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [User Access Manager] Confirmation: Is this plugin unmaintained?Great news! this plugin is indispensable! Thanks for the great work.
Thanks k3. Appreciate the reply. Eventually I isolated the problem, which was more like an incompatibility of the “Member” plugin with GDE. For some reason, updating permalinks revealed the issue which was dormant before. But getting rid of Members solved the problem.
I have a similar error (500: internal server error) after changing WP permalinks settings. Is it necessary to reset GDE after changing WP permalink settings? How to do that?

In reply to: [Google Analytics Dashboard] _transient_timeout_gad_cache_Thanks! I think I will do the same. Did you use a mysql query to delete the entries? I have no sql language skills and a lot of entries to delete.

In reply to: [Front-End Users] [Plugin: Front-End Users] Further instructions and examplesThank you for this detailed user guide! That’s fantastic.
However, as I’m following the steps to add a custom profile field manually to FEU (step 4 above). While the field is displayed properly, I get an error message when updating the form: “Failed Security Check”. Any clue?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Responsive] [Theme: Responsive] Why so slow?Exactly what I needed! Thanks so much!
I’m definitely becoming a fan of this theme… and assistance!
Thanks for your time on my “user errors” ??Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Responsive] [Theme: Responsive] Why so slow? No. I really need subscribers to log in to access this site. So I implemented a plugin for that. But the plugin must be checking if I’m logged in at each page after that… so it’s slowing down everything.

In reply to: [Responsive] [Theme: Responsive] Why so slow?Yep. I realized as I wanted to show you the problem that the “jump” was due to the “Private WP” plugin (for a password protected blog). Deactivating the login is solving the problem.
…Now, I have to find a better way to lock out unwanted visitors ??Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Responsive] [Theme: Responsive] Why so slow?Just tested it again with just the naked theme, a 7KB background image and 1KB header, and a plain fresh wp install. It works fine.

In reply to: [Responsive] [Theme: Responsive] Why so slow?Hi there! I made the change in my header and background and it ends up the size does not matter. No matter how light and small, the minute I set up a custom header and background, you can see it loading (fast but annoying flashing when loading a new page). This does not occur with the default header provided with the theme. When I looked at the function.php file, it seems that there’s a lot of instructions to adjust to a custom header. I guess this is what slows it down? Should I customize the function file and hard code my custom header as the default?

In reply to: [Responsive] [Theme: Responsive] Why so slow?I revoked the temporary user. Thanks for the quick reply! I’ll try with a smaller, tiled background image.
Thanks again for your theme!
