Yes I saw it, but I don’t understand the sentence “Flush out whichever is misreporting an update”

What does the author mean? After all, could something bad happen, if I flush all the tables of this kind?

OK, I’ve sent a support request vie my test installation. Sorry I didn’t think of it earlier.

Nope, because I’ve downgraded, and in the version I have currently, it is not present.

Hmm… actually, I’m testing on WP 3, but I’m still using WP 2.8 at my site. And the problem is, that DB cache grows drastically since the new (dev) version, I don’t know why…

Also, I wonder, if my wp-cron was not working well, could I have my posts scheduled and published? Because that option is working.. Do you know any common limit, set by shared hosting providers, which could be hindering the cron job of your script?

My admin manually set a cron job, to be executed every night, and it empties all the cache folders. Still, I wonder what the problem is.

I could switch on the dev version again, if you think that browser cache is already working with the permalinks structure /%postname%.html

The problem is, I downgraded to the “official” version, because the Cache took the size of all my account and I had problems with my hosting ??

Thank you , I’m gonna listen to your advice.

I’ve installed the development release, but I get the following, when I try to switch on “Object cache”:

Object caching is not available: object-cache.php is not installed. Either the /home/h2/s/sl/***/vhosts/www.***.com/public_html/testing2/wp-content directory is not write-able or you have another caching plugin installed. This error message will automatically disappear once the change is successfully made.

I’ve deleted all .htaccess rules form other cache plugins I’ve used before (in “root” .htaccess file), I’ve even deleted the files of the plugin used before. I also changed

    define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); //Added by WP-Cache Manager

    to

    define(‘WP_CACHE’, false); //Added by WP-Cache Manager

Also, the directory wp-content is writable, as your plugin also states, in yellow message. Yet, I get the error listed above.. I don’t know how to overcome this problem.

On befalf of problems with comment posting, I’ll write again, if the problem persists. But I really don’t understand why I can’t switch on Object caching. I use the latest release of WordPress.

The problem is, that sometimes a user has to wait significantly, in order to get their comment posted and the user redirected to the https://www.site.com/page#comments section.

What could be causing this significant slowing? It was not like that, while I was using another plugin. Could this be from db caching?

The other problem I have is, trash does not get deleted automatically. And I have to clean it up every day… when I hit “Empty caches” the operation takes more than 500 seconds, and I get a message “Internal server error”. So I have to delete the remaining files manually, or hit “Empty all caches” several times subsequently, and wait quite a lot of time.

I don’t know if all this is related, but I didn’t get any error messages while configuring the plugin… so I haven’t changed any permissions or anything.. hope you could help me.

    Hi again Todd,

Yes, I guess by editing the template in single.php placing in beginning/end could work? But I have more serious problem ?? I wanted to put the “Similar posts” widget in my posts body. The problem is, I’ve tried by placing in in the special widget area created by your plugin, then placing the shortcut in a post, but it didn’t work. Do you know, if this widget is working for you?

Because I guess, most people would like to have similar posts embedded with a thumbnail in their post, well.. if that was in the middle it would be nice, but even at the end is fine.

And do you know, could I put the related posts widget as part of the post, that is, not below it, but as part of the last paragraph – say, to the left or to the right of the text. That would be nice ??

Just to add that I have the same problem with the current WordPress version as well – 2.9.2, I’ve tested it.
