In reply to: [Plugin: Songkick Concerts and Festivals]Missing eventsI agree and it was my bad not think of excluding the page your plugin generates from the caching. I hope the exclude string above will now solve this.
Why I have you here, I remember reading somewhere some options your shortcode supports that are not listed on the settings page. I think it was about the calendar type formatting. May I ask you to list the full list of options your plugin supports?

In reply to: [Plugin: Songkick Concerts and Festivals]Missing eventsI’m trying something. I’ve re-enabled WP Super Cache but placed the below string to disable caching of the page that has your plugin on.
String: \’/tour\’
Page: https://iansiegal.com/tour
Do you think this is wise?

In reply to: [Plugin: Songkick Concerts and Festivals]Missing eventsI’m sure your PHP skills are more than sufficient. It is the openness of WordPress that makes life difficult for us ??
I found the culprit. I disabled WP Super Cache that I use on the site and those missing events appeared. Can we know try to find a way to make your plugin play nicely with WP Super Cache? I’m here to do what is needed to be done and work as the guinea pig.
I’m using WP 3.3.2 and your plugin is Version 0.9.3.2?
(I’m surprised how almost no one, not only you, prints the plugin version on the settings page and very few, you included, place links to the support/info pages. You can find some of that on the plugin list but wouldn’t it make sense to put those on the settings page too where you have all the space you need? You can then link the WP plugin page, WP support forum and the Githup page? Google is your friend but still…)

In reply to: [Plugin: Songkick Concerts and Festivals]Missing eventsHi Sabrina, thanks for the prompt response.
As far as I can understand from your explanation, your plugin refreshes its cache each hour. If that is the case there had been many hours passed since we noticed those missing events before I posted to the forum and three hours since my above post. Hence, the cache should have been refreshed. Nevertheless, I have saved the setting now, but those two events are still not showing.
I have another artist site that uses your plugin and the label has reported that there are missing events on that installation as well. I’m waiting a list of the missing events.
It is obvious there is a problem. The label is very worried and considering of moving away from Songkick as they (rightly) find it unreliable.
Is there any way you can guide me to try to diagnose this problem? Where are the cache files are stored, could it be a permission issue, etc., etc.?
Thank you
Riz
I have the same problem. Any comments?

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] [Plugin: BackUpWordPress] Backed-up db-file is emptyThanks for the reply Tom.
You had a serious bug it seems. Failing to backup for ‘backup’ plugin is dead serious. I will be checking the contents of the zip files for a while.
I must say though, my confidence in your plugin is seriously diminished.

In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] [Plugin: BackUpWordPress] Backed-up db-file is emptyI was having the same issue with Version 1.5. Updated to Version 1.6.4 and now I can see the SQL file.
I spoke too fast. How can you place the Google map link in the balloon if you don’t have the relevant placeholder? You place ‘a’ link that will be present on all maps irrespective of the actual map itself, but the link will always point to the same map. Unless you create a placeholder I can’t see what you suggested can work. Am I missing something?
I’ll wait. Thank you!
I gave 777 permissions for the below file, but there’s no change.
/usr/local/pem/vhosts/107487/webspace/siteapps/19836/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/includes/thumbnails/timthumb.php
The below link displays the image correctly, hence the image exists and served.
https://the-london.sarumbear.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/bingo-logo1-650-e1325706856998.jpg
I don’t know what else to do. I give up. I will resize the images and use #_EVENTIMAGE instead, which works fine.
Default and Classic themes gives an error on the Events page, but I can still see the double separator on the page title. Twenty Eleven runs OK and still double separator.
Why haven’t I thought of placing the link in the balloon?
Thank you! ??
I have updated to 5.0.4 but there is no change. I had 1st installed 5.0.1 from fresh then updated to all new versions since.
If you click on the same link via the calendar there is no event title displayed, only the page ritle.
No title when clicked on the calendar in the sidebar:
https://the-london.sarumbear.com/wp/events/2012-01-07Title displayed when clicked on the event list page:
https://the-london.sarumbear.com/wp/events/dj-tiny-his-guilty-pleasures-2012-01-07THAT is the problem.
I have checked the server and have it checked by my host but neither of us can find anything wrong. As the images are accessible directly the issue seems to be at the plugin level.
Here is the direct URL of the image, which displays fine:
https://the-london.sarumbear.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/dj-e1325705249544.jpg
and here is the link your plugin generates, which fails:
May I ask you to please double check?
Thank you
Riz
I second that request. Placing a link is not an elegant solution as you cannot place the link within the map or next to the address. (I.e. not within the format but only in the notes.)
