They’re really charging $14 for “premium service”, which includes the export, but there’s no way to just pay for the export itself…it really is ridiculous since I only pay $4/month for hosting!

I would also like to extend my thanks–I hardly ever post because my anwers are almost always in the forum.
I wanted to add that I think sometimes there isn’t a response because the same question has been answered a million times already. So sometimes a lack of response means you should spend more time searching the forums. That happened to me with one of my first posts and at first I was frustrated, but I kept searching and eventually figured it out–a good lesson as I learned a lot along the way.
Anyway, long and short of it is, you guys are awesome. I’ve stuck with WP partly for the amazing support community (and partly because WP is just awesome). Thank you so much.

I see the link, but when I click it, I get “sorry, no posts matched your criteria”. Try checking your header.php again?
On second glance, it looks like portfolio is linked to the same url.
Do you see the about page in wp admin?

Another thing that can help–install WP a second time in a temp directory so you can play with the themes and see how they look without ruining your actual blog. I did this so I wouldn’t have to bother installing php and such on my laptop. It’s a simple thing, but sometimes just changing stuff here and there is the best way to learn.

Do you have any old .css files left over in your WP directory? Sometimes the browsers use any style they can find. I had some problems getting my theme to display and when I deleted the old files, it fixed everything.

Well, what kind of errors are you getting? Are you having trouble editing config.php?

Hmm, the only thing I notice is that the sidebar is not inside the sidebar section of the page–it appears at the bottom. But I can view the source and all. Last post on the 27th of Feb?

I am able to see your contact page fine in IE6.

What do you mean by “pull up”? Is there an error? I see it fine in IE6.

What about 403? I am getting 403 errors when I try to access my static pages.

You don’t have permission to access /about/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I tried the above solution but it didn’t work. WordPress did create a new htaccess file, but I still get the error. I was getting these errors before with the comments, and changed the chmod permissions to fix it, but as these are virtual folders, I can’t do that. Any suggestions?

Ah, I misunderstood the error and the solution. I thought the error was supposed to be in the specific lines mentioned as opposed to any php tags. I believe a previous post I read mentioned that the specific lines had to be fixed; there were no tags anywhere near the lines mentioned, so I was confused. Also, the error mentioned both config and login, but it looked to me like the error was in login, my bad.
So to all you newbies searching out there, I have done this so you don’t have to ??
