In reply to: [Plugin: Akismet] DO NOT UPGRADE THIS PLUGINYip… same here. I also get a blank dashboard page every now and then. Does anyone know how I can find an older version to revert back???
When I press “Delink” within the comments admin panel, I get a blank page and nothing happens.
It doesn’t work if a comment is held for moderation (which is on purpose). If the comment is automatically approved, it works like a charm. Thanks!
Even with 2.2.2.0, it’s still not working on my blog… :’-(
Same as before: when I am logged in, I can see the icons.
But no countdown or anything when I make a comment on a post.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Error: TinyMCE is UndefinedDoh –> SirStuey just said what I wrote, and now here is my useless post. :’-(
Sorry guys – I should have read this thread more carefully.
Useless post:
In former times (I tested it on WP 2.3.1), script-loader.php was the problem. I remember that I had some problems when plugins tried to add buttons to the editor. One could change script-loader.php to load the un-gzipped tinymce by slightly changing the code. Unfortunately, I can’t find the post anymore… I just know that the member name was Robin. In WP 2.5.1, maybe it helps setting “compress” to FALSE on line 173 in tiny_mce_config.php.
Interesting… when I am logged in and look at the comments in the single post pages view, all the AEC links appear. It just doesn’t work directly after leaving a comment: no countdown, no links…
I also have the Commentluv plugin installed which is mentioned as interfering with AEC in former versions (https://www.raproject.com/ajax-edit-comments/). So I deactivated it and tried again – but no luck: AEC still does not work (any longer) in the 2.x version. Does not seem to be commentluv anymore…
Same here.
Using WP Ajax Edit Comments 2.2.1.0 (just recently updated it) with WordPress 2.6.2 and it stopped working in the posts. Comments are still shown in “awaiting moderation” without any AJAX editing possible – but it seems to still work in the admin panel.
I also have commentluv 2.5.3 running (also recently updated) which produces a jQuery error (“g is undefined”), but that does not harm the way it works.
Maybe there is a connection?
Though, Ajax Edit Comments does not work when commentluv is disabled, either.
Do we have another jQuery problem here?

In reply to: Require “www.” : Troubleshooting & Question@seedpxwee5:
No Rewrite in .htaccess needed.Put the “www.” in front of the blog location in General Options – so, instead of “https://yourdom.ain”, it should read “https://www.yourdom.ain”.
As can be read here, WP then automatically redirects “yourdom.ain” requests to “www.yourdom.ain”…
But I have no idea what the effect on search engine rankings is, since each of your blog posts should be without the “www.” so far.
You should have the remark made by Otto42 in the back of your head. For new blogs, I would not add the “www.” any more.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-reCAPTCHA] Javascript Console / Firebug Shows ErrorOK, problem solved.
Actually, the call to the ‘comment_form’ hook in my template was BEFORE the “Submit”-Button, therefore the ID ‘submit’ wasn’t even initialized when the JavaScript called it – hence it was NULL.
I have adapted my comments-php (rather than the plugin), and it works fine now – no JavaScript error any longer.

In reply to: [Plugin: Script Compressor] Messes Up JS Functionality On BlogBug was from the version when I posted here, which means 4 weeks ago. Have uninstalled the plugin, already – sorry.
I don’t know what was going on, but the site loaded as normal. But whenever I tried to click on something that used javascript, it just didn’t work and a failure was posted in the javascript console in Firebug.
I managed to compress prototype with the Yahoo YUI Compressor 2.3.6 and mod_deflate does the rest, so no need for the plugin any longer.
Thanks, nonetheless.
Oh, it may comfort you that NONE of those compressing plugins worked with my blog… ??
