Re-uploaded 2.2.1 and now it seems to work. Have no idea why, but I’ll take it!

I’m having the same problem. I followed the steps and uploaded the 2.2.1 files and when I go to the upgrade.php page I get:

Warning: main(/home/sangrial/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/sangrial/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 100

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘/home/sangrial/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/sangrial/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 100

I have no idea what to do at this point. Seems like every time I upgrade it is some new nightmare because I am not very tech-savvy.

I switched to a different theme that seems to be working fine. But I’m still interested to know why the header image on the beach house theme didn’t work, if anyone has any ideas.

That doesn’t seem to have worked, but thank you for the idea.

Contacted the host about the database error, and it’s fixed now. Thanks for the advice!

Sure enough – I did exactly as you suggested and all is right with my sidebar again! Thanks for your help!

I am pretty sure I do have that file – thanks for reminding me. I’ll try uploading it tonight when I have access to the computer that the file is on.

Once I resolve this issue, is there an easy way to put a flickr badge on my sidebar (without messing everything up)?
