Thank you James. Pretty sure GoDaddy is the ‘problem’. Makes it tedious when there are plugin updates. Thank goodness I only have 5 sites there. The good thing is I can at least update them from my WordPress dashboard rather than logging in.
SandyHi Supernovia,
Thank you for your reply.
I did delete from Plugins section. Didn’t work. So then deleted via the server. Still couldn’t connect. Then several hours later was able to connect to Jetpack account. It took some time, but now shows up in my WordPress dashboard, however, I am not able to initialize auto updates for the plugins. Says “Autoupdates are not available for Paradise Theatre. Any autoupdates are explicitly disabled by a site administrator.” There is only one user, site administrator, and that is me.
??One more thought. This site is on GoDaddy. I have a few others on GoDaddy and am not able to initialize auto updates on any of them.

Same problem. Error Details: Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support. Already have www.
Agree with @amityweb. Same problem here on about 15 sites on multiple servers. Have had to roll back to Jetpack 5.0 and turn off automatic updates on all sites.
www.remarpro.com requirements page “…WordPress also works with PHP 5.2.4+ and MySQL 5.0+ …” With Jetpack having 4+ million active installs backwards compatibility would be best. WP Tavern says “PHP 5.6 Is Now the Most Widely Used PHP Version.”
ThanksFrom WordPress Tavern. March 2017
https://wptavern.com/php-5-6-is-now-the-most-widely-used-php-version
PHP 5.6 usage has steadily increased over the past year and has now overtaken versions 5.3 and 5.4 to be the most widely used version, according to W3Techs’ stats. PHP is used by 82.6% of all the websites for which W3Techs can detect a server-side programming language. PHP 7 accounts for 3.1% of these websites and PHP 5.x makes up 95.3%, with version 5.6 usage at the top end.So while PHP 7 is likely recommended, I agree with @jsrudderham and am quite sure it is not required since just a few months ago just 3% are using that version.
Could still login, so deactivated Jetpack on each site. All sites are working. Will wait until there is an update. Thanks.
Same here 503 error on 12 of 28 sites but not all sites on those servers. Also internal server error on 2 of 5 sites on another server. None of my sites on go daddy were effected, which i believe runs a higher version of php.
Yep. 14 sites out of 30 on 3 different servers. Not all sites affected. 3 other servers had no sites that errored. Some were Internal Server error and some 503 errors. Suspect something with the PHP versions. Fortunately this time I could log in and deactivate Jetpack and all was well. ??
Update: Yesterday, with no changes made, the correct IP’s are being reported.
Thank you for the reply.
I checked with host. There is no reverse proxy, Cloudflare is not on, and no varnish or other caching. The only way I could stop visitors from being blocked is to drop the security level down to 2 where the lock out time is blank. They are not active blogs, so this should be okay.
Thanks again.Sorry, for one piece of info at a time…
My IP is not being reported by the plugin. It is reporting the server IP. But some of the sites that are not blocking are also reporting the server IP.Would it be safe to use the “Click here to unblock all IP addresses.” option in the unblock email to clear this?
Hello, I am having the same issue as “sirusly”, same settings, on 5 sites from multiple viewers, with different IP’s. A couple of sites on the same server cleared up by themselves. They also all appear to be blocking the WordPress.com Jetpack automatic plugin updates??
After requesting to be unblocked as an admin I was able to successfully log in.
Any new ideas?I am suddenly having ip spoofing on a several of my sites, all on the same server. And I did get locked out from logging in on one, but got in using the unlock email request.
One showing the User IP as the web domain IP is for “Exceeded the number of page requests per minute for humans.”
And the other showing the User IP as the web domain IP is for “has been locked out from the signing in or using the password recovery form for the following reason: Used an invalid username ‘mike’ to try to sign in.“
The How does Wordfence get IPs: is set do the default “Let Wordfence use the most secure method….”
It is sudden so I am assuming the host may have moved things around? Should a change “How does Wordfence get IPs”?

In reply to: [Our Team Showcase] Different styles on different pagesHi rkoza, I just had the same question but found the answer under “Team” then “Settings”. Look in the upper right hand corner of the page. One of the items listed says:
To override the template choice from the shortcode, add [our-team template=”grid”]
I haven’t tried it, but it makes sense.
Good Luck,
Sandy
