In reply to: Warning:require_onceJose, Thank you so much – You were totally right. I thought wordfence was one of the good ones but I will leave it alone for a while and try again later. I have also learned something new because I could see the one part of the wordfence that was changed only because it had a date on it different too the other parts of the folder.
Regards

In reply to: Warning:require_onceNot really but do i go into the cpanel and look for the wordfence and remove it that way. It was working with the plug in but i am fine to remove it. (Maybe it had an update that wasn’t compatable because I do remember updating a bunch of plugins about two days before I got this stuff.
I am signing into my host naw to see if I can find the plugin in the cpanel
Thank you for your help. I had to sleep and then work and now I have tried again – but unsuccessful. Have to sleep so will try again later in the week.
OK but that covers a lot of territory and I don’t have the skill to cover that territory. I can remove it and start again but the would be the third or fourth time. The only thing I can think of is if I make a webpage first and that is the index.html then I add the WP ??? I don’t know enough.

In reply to: Fatal Error when tried to update to 3.1I do not have the same problem as bsaitz He/She could log in at the log in according to the first post made on this thread.
I do not know if I get any errors about plugins on the inside as I cannot login. I do know that I don’t when I click through to the /wp-admin
According to the reply after I tried installing 3.1 I was told that it did not install – OK quite happy – click back to try again.
“I was told that the update failed and I was clicking back to try again. Then told site was not available due to maintenance and to come back in a few minutes.
When I went back I cannot log-in I get this message.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_network_admin() in /home/myusername/public_html/wp-admin/admin-header.php on line 16″Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Fatal Error when tried to update to 3.1I did read the 3.1 troubleshooting list before I posted. I can find nothing in the list that points to this problem. Maybe I missed something (or did not quite get it) so if you can point me at something in particular in the list, that can get me into the site, it would be great.
As it stands now the site is not upgraded (I will not try the upgrade on any other sites) which is OK but I cannot log-in which is a major problem.
The site address is https://www.annieogrady.com
Hope someone in the forum knows a fix for this.

In reply to: Fatal Error when tried to update to 3.1I should have pointed out that I got the fatal error after filling in username & password.
And the myusername in the Fatal error: message refers to my user name with the hosting company not my WP log-in username
Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

In reply to: unable to add themes or plug-ins – asks for host, id & passwordThank you for such a fast reply Esmi.
I gave my ftp details but it would still not let me get themes or plugins. “I eventually supplied as I could not get anything to work for me despite removing and adding the site about 3 times. It still will not work despite adding my password.”
It just keeps asking for my password. (however many times I type it in – it does not tell me I got it wrong it just reverts back with the passwaoard missing but not the host or username)

In reply to: Remove extra navigation menu above headerThank You so much govpatel. It was the top banner widget.
I pasted the header php where you said but don’t need it anymore.
Hey one day I might be great at this if I hang around here, and hopefully even know an answer occasionally.
Thank you again
