There was a “plugin”? for 1.2 as I used avatars on my site. However, they were not user selectable. The admin (me) uploaded the picture, with coordination of the user. Obviously, this would not be practical for high-traffic sites. Unfortunately, my computer developed hard drive failure back in June, and I don’t think I have that anymore. Just did 1.5 today.
