I can confirm now that support for j.mp is ready (but not released yet).

Would you like to test it?. Download main file from trunk and replace your shorten2ping.php file with this.

Did you check the custom fields of the posts affected?

If your WP tries to do the “ping” and any of the services gives an error message, it’ll be stored in the custom fields of the post.

The only reason for that message error is a corrupted/modified file.

Not a plugin problem. I’m sure there was some problem writing the files on your hosting…

Check your wp-content/plugins/ dir, locate the shorten2ping dir and delete it. Install again.

If you want to install fail safe, download the plugin to your computer first, and then upload manually to wp-content/plugins

Check your Ping.fm configuration or link shortener configuration (the one you are using, not de S2P configuration for it).

Well… your post is not related at all with this topic… but, anyway, please check your config for the plugin and check if your hosting meet all the requirements (see readme).

There is no need to use quotation marks for the link nor for the title, you can remove them if you want.

You can even use something like this: [title] [link]

About your problem, what link type are you using in config?? (bit.ly, tr.im, … ??). Check that you have filled the required data.

Thank you for your support, but… why you would want to put html tags in the title of a post? (pages are not notified by Shorten2Ping). And anyway, WP doesn’t make that filter in the post title, so I dont know why you want that Shorten2Ping to do it for you.

Maybe that you really wants is a fix for removing special html entities from the title when using Ping.fm to notify new posts (not happened with Twitter). (i.e. Showing ‘Test…’ instead of ‘Test…’).

That is already fixed for the next Shorten2Ping release (pretty soon).

At present there is no option to do that.

By the way, after 6,548 downloads only one person has donated something… that is not motivating me so much to spend time on new features.

I cant promise you to add that feature, but I’ll keep in mind (in fact, I have many others improvements pending when I have the time).
