In reply to: [Meow Lightbox] Lightbox with user comments ?Hi again joefryfoto,
I confirm that your trick is working nicely. I just had to adapt the HREF part in your code.
Now, if I could find a way to automatically build the caption field, that would be perfect.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Meow Lightbox] Lightbox with user comments ?Hi joefryfoto,
Inserting the link into the image caption is a great idea. Thanks. I didn’t realize that the caption could embed HTML (this is my first project with WP, by the way).
Since I don’t want to handle this manually for each image in the gallery, I’ll have to determine how to insert the attachment tag automatically.
I’ll give this a try.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Meow Lightbox] Lightbox with user comments ?Another, more user friendly, solution would be as follows :
When the user click on one image in the gallery, the lightbox opens. When the user clicks again on the image in the lightbox, instead of zooming like the lightbox currently does, the attachment page would be loaded and the user could add comments.
I have started to play with the Anti Selector in the lightbox settings but obviously, I didn’t find the correct class to add there. I used the Firefox/Chrome inspector in order to determine which class I should exclude but I have not been successful. Or maybe the lightbox script prevails ?
It’s surprising that the possibility of adding comments to lightbox images has not been implemented in most galleries/lightboxes. For a photo oriented site (and especially for a photo club), it’s something that seems to be obvious. I have occasionally seen similar requests. I don’t know enough about WP for the moment to determine whether it’s too difficult to implement.

In reply to: [Photo Engine (Media Organizer & Lightroom)] WP/LR aware galleries ?Thanks for quick answer, Jordy. I’ll have a look to the Justified Image gallery.
Since Google Sites Classic will be closing next year, I’m building a new site for my photo club and we are on a budget. So, I’m trying to do much with little money (hence my other question in the Meow Lightbox section). WP/LR Sync will help a lot and Astra + Elementor will also make the move easier (I’m a former system engineer and developer but I want to build a site that can be maintained by non computer savvy people – and now that I’m retired, I have promised to my wife to never ever write a single line of code :–)) ). And building web sites was not my specialty. I’m more familiar with C, C++, C#, assembly and Pascal than with PHP. I’m just discovering the WP ecosystem. Technically rather easy to understand but the number of available tools, plugins and themes is overwhelming.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Meow Lightbox] Lightbox with user comments ?A good solution would be to be able to add a button/icon to each image in the gallery and to link it to the attachment page. My experience with WP is too limited for the moment, so I don’t know how to do that without coding. I’m using the Astra theme + Elementor.

In reply to: [Meow Lightbox] Basic WP gallery no longer working after Meow LightboxSorry, forget it.
I’m discovering WP and I never came to the idea that the basic “gallery” in WordPress could not have an embedded Lightbox. It’s so obviously needed.
Sorry for the trouble.

Good news ! Thanks.
Thanks for being so reactive. I appreciate.

In reply to: [Meow Gallery] License isue ?Hi,
OK. I had a quick look at the code and it seems that this “License issue” warning is the “normal” status message until the Pro version is registered. This is not a warning about a potential problem.
Good news ! Thanks.
By the way, I have noticed something that I consider as an anomaly. For users who are only subscribers, although the From Vibes entry doesn’t exist in the admin menu, there’s a Form Vibes Analytics panel appearing anyway in the Dashboard. I don’t think that making this information available to any user is desirable.
Thanks anyway and greetings from Fontainebleau, France.

In reply to: [Photo Engine (Media Organizer & Lightroom)] DOmain name dependency ?OK. I just found this page : https://meowapps.com/license-issues/.
Problem solved.
OK. Thanks.
Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, this would not allow the user to decide to which categories he wants to subscribe and to modify his choices at will. Unless I’m missing something, each list would have to be updated upon user’s request. That’s not workable.

In reply to: [Email posts to subscribers] Subscription to certain post categories only ?Thanks.
OK. Obviously, that’s not a workable solution. MailPoet also doesn’t implement this feature, apparently. I’ll have to resort to something like Subscribe2, I think.
