In reply to: iThemes security settings goofed up; Cannot login to WordPress adminAfter recovering all files on 13th Oct I had updated all Plugins including iThemes. Everything was working fine. Just that I was receiving a number of messages from iThemes that some hacking attempts were going on I wanted to tighten the security further. I tried re-uploading the last backup of iThemes files. That does not help. Please someone help.

In reply to: Installing on a new host while keeping dns pointed to old hostI am again back to square one. Fron yesterday evening again I found my website down. I thought it was a server trouble with Godaddy hosting. I waited constantly checking my website on https://www.updowntime.net (https://downuptime.net/creativegraphicsindia.com.html)
This morning I called up Godaddy support and they said that there was a plugin problem and I should re-instal the plugins. That did not work.
So I uninstalled the entire WP and reinstalled afresh. Then copied all content files, activated the plugins. But there is still a problem.
I see the home page theme only. All other 14 pages are not visible. Do I need to do something more now. Please help.Regards

In reply to: Installing on a new host while keeping dns pointed to old hostI have a similar problem. I am moving my website from the existing host to GoDaddy. My domain is registered with 1com. After installing WordPress on GoDaddy I have moved all the files in the folder public_html and wp-admin to the new host, changed the nameservers, IP address using domain management tools provided by 1com. On trying to open my website using browser I just see my index page with the theme (but the page is incomplete).
Also I am unable to login to my WordPress admin using my usual user name and password.
Please help.

In reply to: IMPORTANT – My website is hackedI have the same problem. However, I have been able to reload the files the hackers had changed and my website is opening now. But I have a major issue. The original wordpress admin name and password has been changed by the hackers to “ubh”. This I realized when I could not log in and had to ask for a new password through “Forgot password” option. When I received the link for changing my password I got the name that the hackers have used. For a quick solution to setup my website I have used the new “name” and managed. But this seems a bit dicey as the hackers can attack again. Should I re-instal WordPress again with a new name of my choice.
