Thank you for such a quick respond. This is actually a question I need to answer for a job interview. I am not really sure how to answer this in the best way possible, especially the last part “You must apply your CSS directly to the ‘ul’ element itself, you cannot use a parent element.” To be honest, I only have some clue on what all of this means. I am not quite understanding for I am just a novice. May be you can tell me how does banks and credit card companies develop the whole online statements system? Thank you.

What I could really use is something like an online credit card statement. All registered users will have his or her own account where they can view their statement, in my case, shareholder statement, and download them as .pdf. It does not sound that difficult in my head but I know it is not easy to say the least. I am all in for learning but I just want to have it done correctly in the end. Thanks for the advice.
