Okay, I managed to get things working again
Okay forget the above. I tried clearing the cache and and adding the IP again. This time it has saved in the htaccess file which hopefully will do the job if it happens again.
Thanks again for your help
Hi, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Firstly I’m glad to say it has finally after many thousand attempts now stopped.
I did enter the IP in the ban user box in the normal way but it does not show in the htaccess file but all the others I banned do show in the htaccess file in the order I banned them.
Can I manually add the to htaccess or is there a bigger problem?
Thanks
I deleted the plugin, then re-installed again checking each option one by one making sure that at each stage everything worked. so far so good.
If it helps to find the answer I found that when the plugin is activated Google fetch shows an error and testing the sitemap also shows an error.
When the plugin is de-activated both work
Okay, firstly I dont have much knowledge of php. The warning was appearing on the dashboard and Genesis is a paid Studiopress framework
I went into cpanel and found the file wp-content/themes/genesis/
I couldn’t find lib/functions/upgrade.php
Can you tell me how I find it
Appreciate you getting back on this. sorry not sure how to tell which version of PHP I have.
I did get it working again but it was a bit of a process. I deleted all the IPs in the ban host box and then pasted them back again but it would only accept two or three at a time.
it’s bedtime in this part of the world, I’ll check in again in the morning.
Thanks
NThanks for this, I’ll have a look and see if it helps.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Vertical scrollThanks Tobias,
why didn’t I think of that. I changed the size and it works just fine.
Many thanks.
Neil
Okay just found the answer in system tweaks. would be interested to know if others are using the Remove File Writing Permissions
Just disabled hide the back end feature and everything seems to be correct again
Marking resolved
Thanks Tobias,
I’ve now got it just the way I wanted it. Your support, as always, has been fantastic.

I just wanted to add that it is something to do with the font size when I change it only the header row changes.
I have it set at 8px and while the header looks just about right the others remain to deep.
Sorry Tobias, I did clear the cache but still have a problem with the header row being a different size. It’s the depth not the width.
