You are right, only the current posts are grouped. It’s doesn’t perform the query by group, rather it group the returned results.

If you want to display posts by author, there’s a list type for that – Users & Posts.

@catuyen Please contact WordPress plugin review team on that concern. I haven’t heard from them for over a month. They are the one who defines and maintain plugin vulnerabilities.

On patchstack, it says < 2.4.6 is vulnerable, and 2.4.6 is marked as fixed.

Fixed the issue in 2.4.6.

It has been fixed in latest version 2.4.5.

This plugin supports php 5.7 right now. But we will eventually push it for minimum 7.4. You are advised to update your PHP version if possible.
