I’ve spent a lot of time trying to accomplish just exactly what @leifer’s last code snippet does flawlessly.

One note for any others who struggled like me: the pattern post ID you have to dig into your database for. WordPress treats patterns as posts, technically, so you have to look at the timestamps in the post table and description to see when you saved the pattern. Or you can check the postmeta table also, which has less data in it so will probably be quicker. Once you have that post ID, you’re golden.

I’m having the same problem, unfortunately.

I haven’t been able to get the individual tags to lead anywhere at all. I’ve tried toggling between different settings but that yielded no results.

Finally, I went into the plugin’s .php file and changed the rewrite from true to false on line 157.

I thought I’d post this in case it helps anyone out.

I think I may have fixed this INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING problem! It must have been a javascript thing…I just enabled all javascripts in my browser (though none had anything to do with shifting data, it was things like replacing text in status bar, etc), and now it’s working apparently!

Just thought I’d post the solution in case anyone else was suffering from the same problem =)

Wait- I think I’m having a similar problem.

You mentioned that you couldn’t rearrange the widgets: I can’t either. I’m running 2.7.1 also, and while I can add and remove widgets, the drag and drop feature doesn’t work for me. The cursor changes, but I can’t drag and drop, it’s incredibly frustrating!

What did you do to fix that aspect of your problem?

Oh no! I don’t want that to happen! Thanks so much for posting this! I’ll definitely try to look into it, even though I’ve removed the defacement. Would it still happen if I’ve removed the defacement? O.o

Zazen, since the last time I posted, the support has gotten back to me. They didn’t fix the problem, but it was partly my mistake. Still, they offered a nice where-to-go-from-here solution that worked and I am up and running again- but this time I won’t be changing the permissions in my themes files! =)

They are cheap, have lots of great features and tech support is…well, they respond to tickets within 6 hours (or claim to try to, at any rate). If you’re thinking of using them just remember that to post tickets, they have a separate section which is not the same as the link you would click through your cpanel. That’s what took me so long. >.>;

I use HostDepartment…for the most part they are reliable, I suppose, and they are cheap for sure, but I just recently got hacked/defaced (am still defaced, actually), and so, I don’t know…

Maybe you’re better off without them? =/ Still, look into them they have lots of packages, maybe something will fit you.

I was getting lots of spam on it so I took off the commenting feature. Other than cutenews, I don’t have anything. However, I had created a homegrown blog, but its comments are also ultra spammed. ='(

I’m having the same problem (it’s just a defacement though, although so annoying, particularly since I’m not savvy to the level that I know how to fix it!). I run on Host Department…their service has not been the best, to be honest, but they give a lot of space and so I’ve stuck with them…

But honestly, I get this fugly thing as my homepage:
