Hi, an update about the issue.
So far it seems that the problem was resolved. cleaning orphan rows in the woocommerce order itemmeta table seems to fix the issue.

Here is the SQL i used to clean the orphan records if anyone will need :

DELETE oim FROM ravid_woocommerce_order_itemmeta oim LEFT JOIN ravid_woocommerce_order_items oi ON oim.order_item_id = oi.order_item_id WHERE oi.order_item_id IS NULL;

Hi, i think i may found the solution by cleaning all orphan rows in the itemmeta TB. Not sure yet, still checking but it seems like this is working. will update soon after additional testing

I think i have found the souce table of the problem. but not sure how to fix it and am open to ideas and thoughts.
It seems that the issue comes from the _order_itemmeta table. It seems that if i empty the whole table and use a clean table the strage meta data is not added to order items but when using the table with all old data it returns.
i have tried to see if the counter was reset and if new items are getting same id as old onces but does not seem like that.
Now that i think i now the problem location, still not sure how to fix it. i can really delete all the data since then all orders in teh admin interface will lose all old orders items data.

I started fromthat thread. i tried to see if in my DB there were a reset of the post id but i assumed i will see this by going other meta data from the postmet, so if their was an old product with same id i would see some meta data for it but i have not seen any. so i can say i found there was a counter reset.
do you think about any other way to check if there was a post counter reset?

It is indeed very unusual and is driving me mad ….
the bug first started and was detected on the live production site. i then created a stage site where it repeated the same behaviour. there i tried all the usual thing, disabling plugins and themes etc.
once this did not work, instaleed it locally as a cloned website and it still continued and then i created a new WP site from a clean instalation (thinking maybe its something with the corrupted core WP file) and once installed configured it to the cloned website DB and the behaviour continues.

Here is a list of meta data that is attached to products in the orders.
Note that even what seems to be ordinary meta data like SKU and aviation id is not correct and also is not consist, so one order a product may have that meta field and other order not and other order a different value (for the same product).

I also thought maybe its something in the product metadata but went over the postmeta table and did not see anything like that and this also happened when I create a new test product and completed an order for it.

Thanks for the reply, I went over all suggestions. installed WP Optimize and used thier DB tools and then the Woocommerce DB tools you mentioned and the issue still happens.

Thanks for the response. this is a new instalation, so no woocommerce files were changed. i mean i installed a new WP enviroment and then a installed WC from the plugin repository and then connected it to the original site DB .

i now also deactivated code snippets – however already tried this before and this plugin is not the source of the problem.
