I did some tests for ex.:

I uploaded on my youtube profile one footage and then copy and paste link into post.

I tested with public and private visibility and after that I deleted video from youtube service and recheck all pages and posts.

NO broken links found. ?? I’m confused..

PS. I can allow to access to my WP test site to check this if you want to see it yourself.

but additional I have the same problem with videos from Vimeo service. ?? but Vimeo hasn’t API option to switch off. where to look for a solution?

the problem is in “All In One WP Security” Plugin. I switch off all options but still leave on plugin and still doesn’t work… hmm.. why? where is problem? I would lika still use “All In One WP Security” plugin and “Comments – wpDiscuz” too! ?? help me if you can ??

Yes I have full-resolution image in media library, but cut to thumbnails not functions what it should.. Probably you have right. Mayby I have some problems with compatibility my theme with wp 3.8.1 I must check this ?? thx so much!

oo! one more think! before update WP I have nice mini thumbnails in sidebar (60×60) but now I have just like small rectangle.. :/ I’m confused.

I tested older version video thumbnails and it was the same results…

so I use yor plugin for long time and only this time I have some problems.. ?? bw in wp 3.8 video thumbnails create thumb from youtube in 300×160 (in my theme)and it was good ?? but after update WP to ver 3.8.1 the same video create to diferent sizes.. for example: 286×160, 213×160 and I don’t khnow why..
