It only happens when i enable wp-rocket. I guess some minify or caching does this. Is there anyway to stop this from happning.

this is the same thing i already tried before asking. I copy this code where my head tag starts. But after running, the preload doesnt show up in live source code, neither doest it go away from google page insights

I have a similar issue in my website, and also using W3 total cache. I followed your given steps and added the link preload to my header.php, but it still doesnt work. Only thing, i dont have any header.php for my child theme, so i added it to my parent theme.
Even in view-source this code doesnt show up.
I am using enfold theme. Any ideas please.

@toniko33 For some reason, with my plugin, it only changes category, not the related content. It works fine normally when i change the categories through filter. Bt when i go through URL, it doesnt seem to change the related content.

Only filter changes only, but the content underneath remains same. Since i am in staging, the url would not work.

For example when i open (example.com/page/?category=4)

It goes to category 4, but the images are of same first category. Hope you get what i am trying to tell

Be sure to check if it only changes the filter or, the media items aswell. For me the filter changes, but the content/images under it remains same from the firt one.

Thank you for the solution. I am trying to do the same thing. I was able to do all the things you said. And for filter it works fine, it changes the filter when i use the url. But unfortunately the media remains same of the first one. Were you able to work it out. If yes, then can you help me in this.
