As you might have guessed, I am new to this. I have the file downloaded to my computer and ready to upload to the site. Does it go to public.html or somewhere else?

The problem appears to be with the Financial Green theme. I think I broke it! It seems to be that the theme itself now just has two highlighted colons and nothing else.

Okay Michael, thank you. I will ask Hostgator to reinstall the backup of the blog. Any idea what I may have done that was wrong? I don’t want to make the same mistake twice and I would still like different header colors.

I appreciate your reply, but here’s what happened:

I switched to the Default theme and accepted that, then I went back to Financial Green and again all I see is two highlighted colons.

What now?

Thank you, Figaro. Your suggestion to ‘look around’ on the edit page led to the solution. The problem: the publish button and various other things were so far to the right I could have used two monitors to see them! ;o) I wonder how many other newcomers have spend hours looking for it!

I am absolutely new to WP; I cannot even get started!

I read: “On the left side of the screen is the main navigation menu detailing each …” There is nothing at all on the left hand side of my screen. I have only the header and a bunch of links on the right. That’s it!
