Thank you. I turned off CSS minify in Rocket Cache and cleared the cache, but the menu still does not work on mobile. However, when I disable Rocket Cache completely the site is fixed, so Rocket Cache is obviously the problem. Thanks again

The complaint above makes no sense. S2Member does not store nor validate credit cards. That behavior is done by the processor – Paypal, Stripe, Authorize.net etc. I think the person is confusing S2Member with another plugin or service.

Sorry Raam! I thought I had updated this. The site is fine. I followed the instructions on the WebSharks website to delete and install:

EMERGENCY: If all else fails, how can I remove Quick Cache?
Ordinarily you can just deactivate Quick Cache from the plugins menu in WordPress. However, if you’re having a more serious issue, please follow the instructions here.

Log into your site via FTP; perhaps using FileZilla.
Delete this file: /wp-content/advanced-cache.php
Delete this directory: /wp-content/plugins/quick-cache/
Remove this line from your /wp-config.php file: define(‘WP_CACHE’, TRUE);
Quick Cache is now completely uninstalled and you can start fresh ??

Now all is well. Loving the plugin, speeds things up to the max.

I’ve just installed this theme and I am having a similar problem. The theme is gorgeous but it makes some text to small. It’s coded somewhere in the CSS but I cannot figure out how to change it. I would like all of my text to be 14 or 16 px.

The plugin that was causing the problem was:

Manage all your 301 redirects and monitor 404 errors
Version 2.2.3 | By John Godley |

Why and what that has to do with the latest wordpress upgrade I do not know. Thought I’d post it in case anyone else has the problem.

Thanks Esmi. That’s a simple solution that I know of and have used before, but forgot to do this time. When I rename the plugins folder the problem disappears, so it’s a problem with a specific plugin. Now out which one…

Interesting website. The main page opens REALLY slow, If I was not specifically looking for that site I might have left before it opened.

I liked your blog. It opened quickly and has a nice clean look to it. Is it a template?

Also, I saw a link to an article on your blog on the main page but not a specific link to your blog.

I added several Amazon Associate links into the body of a post. Came back to my blog later and the menu options on the right had all disappeared. Deleted the Amazon code and the PRESTO – the menu items reappeared. Looking forward to trying out the plug-in. I hope it works.

If anyone has any stories about using the plg-in with Amazon Associates, I would love to hear them.

Perfect timing for this post, as I want to do the same thing. I use WordPress for two blogs and I absolutely love it. Now, I am creating another installation where WordPress will be the main index page and I want to use it as a simple content management system.

I am currently using a them called “letterhead” from Alex King’s listing (https://www.alexking.org/), but it is possible that my template will change. I want to have four or five posts on the main page and have them w/o timestamps or comments etc. I have figured out how to have the additional pages that I need (about me, disclaimer) etc. But not how to set-up a nonblog main page.

Can I open the main page in dreamweaver and edit it there, or is there something else I shoould do?

As a side not I should probably mention that I went to Filosofo’s home page control at: https://www.ilfilosofo.com/blog/home-page-control/

but I am a little sketchy about how to set it up. Thought I would look for a simpler solution….
