I had hide backend activated in versions 3.x.x of BWPS. Upgrading to 4.0.x disabled dashboard access as others have explained here.
I tried upgrading to all versions up to 4.0.12 with no success. So manually installed 3.6.6 and staying there until I switch to something I’m not as afraid of or see here that those running hide backend in 3.x.x can safely upgrade to one of the 4.x.x versions.
Does it work to disable hide backend in 3.6.6, upgrade to 4.0.21, and re-enable hide backend in 4.0.21?
I appreciate your post I did see that earlier.
Are you from iThemes? My concern is doing something to fix the site that is not recommended directly by iThemes (and they have been painfully quiet on this upgrade disaster to 4.X) may result in more issues. I would like to avoid “we never told you to do that”.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Not count owneris there a way to change an IP address to a name or multiple IP addresses to a single name? For example, admin hits include multiple devices… locations… would be nice so they can all be filtered under one user name. Would also like to do this with visitor IPs.
I have the same issue and I have tried xxxxx.net/login. I get the error below.
I am not sure if this is the cause, but I was in the process of adding banned user agents when hell broke lose (copied from hackrepair.com, but perhaps using incorrect syntax as I copied from the “RAW” area) because I got a message that an Russian IP address was blocked due to too many attempts to access files that weren’t there.
