In reply to: “Remember Me” login box does not remember passwordsI’ve realised what’s happening, so I’ll reply here in case it helps anyone else.
It’s to do with your browser, not your site. If you log in with Profile One, it will remember the details for Profile One. If you login with Profile Two, it will remember the details for Profile Two.
Simple really.
I have 2 Gmail email addresses, 2 Gmail accounts, and 2 Chrome profiles, which I’m using on the same computer. Both can login to the same website using different user accounts. (One is an admin account and one a subscriber, so I can see what it looks like to another user.)
For customers of your website, they would presumably always use the same email address and browser, etc, synced to their one Gmail account on different devices so it shouldn’t cause a problem for them. That’s interesting! I’ve just updated another old post and it’s done precisely what it should do. So I’ll test some more and see what I can find out. It’s weird – all but two of my posts are now showing a score as they should be. No idea what’s going on, nothing different about them. It will be easier just to re-write them so thanks for your help!

I’m not sure what that means! I originally made this post with the old classic editor, then I converted it to the block editor and edited it in the block editor.
Later: I had a look and it seems a page-builder is a plugin. I haven’t got one of those. All I have is the Siteground optimizer, the Classic Editor (which I don’t use), AIOSEO and Akismet.- This reply was modified 3 years, 2 months ago by ruthbillheimer.
Yes, I know that’s what is supposed to happen but it’s not happening.

This link will get you to a screenshot of what I’m seeing. All of these posts have been updated in the last week with tags. All of the scores have been updated except the top one – “Barnabas Fenton” which is showing N/A.
The theme is Astra – would that make a difference?
Thanks- This reply was modified 3 years, 2 months ago by ruthbillheimer.

In reply to: [Astra] Add post title field not thereHi Herman
I just installed the theme on another website and I just want to say thanks for correcting this!
Cheers

In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] Remove date and author from postsI’ve taken a different route – I’ve changed the theme to Astra, which allows you to do these things easily. It was time I updated from this older theme anyway.

In reply to: [Astra] Add post title field not thereIt’s OK thanks, it does work, as you say, even though the words “Add post title” aren’t there. It’s showing up in the search and category lists as well so I’m happy with it. The problem was, I think, that I was doing a post which only had an image so I was looking for a separate field to add a title. URL is https://drjoannanichols.com/teenage-pregnancy-strategies/

In reply to: Colour of links/boxesThanks, that’s done it!
Much appreciated

In reply to: Colour of links/boxesOh thanks! Do I put that in the additional css part of the customizer?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Roll back after updateThank you. Actually I tested it on another website which isn’t so important. I found that the problem was nothing to do with Yoast, but my own fault for checking “Combine CSS Files” in the SiteGround optimiser. But thanks, it’s good to know if I need to rollback any plugin updates in the future.
Sorry, this is probably a really stupid question, but how do you roll back? I have a problem with another plug-in, not yours, but I want to be able to test it out, so update and then if necessary go back to the previous one.
Hi again: I looked at the Yoast forum and it seems their plugin doesn’t parse shortcodes but not to worry, the search engines will find them.

In reply to: cURL error 28 and REST-API call failure in Site Health CheckI am getting this error and I have identified what’s causing it – it’s a plugin which I use on two of my sites and the error disappears when I disable the plugin. So far so good. But the plugin (“Friends Only”) hasn’t got any support, its forum was last answered two or three years ago and I can’t find another plugin that does the same thing.
Is this error really a “critical” error or can I just ignore it?I’m answering myself as I’ve discovered what’s wrong – in case anybody else has the same problem. I am using two different views, that’s what it is, a slideshow and an image browser. Doh! The browser is much nicer font for some reason.
