Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: plugins.php showing blankOk, never really did figure out the real reason why this broke, other than the fact that I removed wp-super-cache in the worst way possible. I upgraded from 2.7.1 to 2.8.4 and voila, everything is back to normal.

In reply to: plugins.php showing blankThanks Shane, the problem is I can’t actually get into the plugins area via the admin to disable anything. I don’t think it’s a plugin conflict as everything was playing nicely together before wp-super-cache got involved and I ripped it out in the worse way possible (deleted the folder).
The only reason the plugins are even functioning at this point is because I added them back into the active_plugins row in the database.
I’m tempted to upgrade but this is a live site and it scares me to have it blow up again after such a late night last night. I think I’m going to install a second WP, feed it the same database and slowly migrate everything over. Then migrate it back to the root when I’m convinced everything is kosher.
That fixed it! Thanks for figuring that out aalaap, you just saved me hours of banging my head against a wall.

In reply to: [Plugin: WYSIWYG Text Widget] Lines all run togetherYeah, I noticed the same problem. Here’s what I do:
1) make all the changes/additions you want in visual mode and save the widget.
2)Edit the widget again, only this time look at in HTML mode, and save it. (you’ll notice all the tags are there)
3) Commit your changes and it should work.
Long story short is line breaks don’t seem to “stick” when you commit your sidebar changes in visual mode. Hopefully this and a few other bugs will get fixed in an update. I’d certainly be willing to donate some paypal to get it done…

In reply to: [Plugin: WYSIWYG Text Widget] Can’t add widget to sidebar 2I got it working in IE6/PC. I added the # of widgets I needed then switched back to Firefox 3 to do the editing. Sort of a pain but at least it’s possible to get it working.

In reply to: [Plugin: Register Plus] Compatibility with WP 2.7.1?So what’s the word? Is Register Plus not compatible with 2.7.1? That’s what I’m running and it doesn’t seem to be doing anything for me…
