I’m experiencing this problem too, with every submitted review.

Thanks very much for your reply, Bet. I’m not very technically competent and I’ve never made a backup of my site before (I usually rely on my web host in case of disaster!) but I guess I’ll have to try and learn some new skills.

However, I’ve now seen a lot of independent experts (e.g. yoast.com, wpml.org) advising users to wait until January before updating to WordPress 5, as there may be a more stable version available by then. Therefore I’ll wait a few weeks and then follow your helpful advice.

Hmm, that’s strange that you don’t see the update.

I have Visual Composer installed as a plugin that came bundled with a theme, and (now that I look) I see that version 5.4.3 was made available two days ago, with these changes: “Fix: Improve WordPress 4.9 tinyMCE support, Compatibility: with WordPress 4.9, Compatibility: with WP Tool Set plugin.” As soon as I applied the update to that version, all my problems were solved.

Hope your problems are all solved soon too …

Maybe you’ve already seen, but Visual Composer has now been updated and everything seems to be working fine in Firefox again ??

I’ve had the same problem with Visual Composer since the WordPress update. I don’t know what browser you’re using but I was using Firefox, where I couldn’t save edits at all.

I tried switching to Chrome, where it did save edits, although in a glitchy way, with the view jumping down to the bottom of the page after saving.

Like you, I’m hoping for an update soon …

On my PC, which runs on Vista, the default Customizr nav bar looks like the “strange” one in your second screenshot. I agree it looks very bad.

rdellconsulting may well be right that a 100% consistent look will never be achieved but it’s unusual to see such an unpleasant and seemingly widespread variation.

Unfortunately, I can’t help with a fix. I just really hope something can be done about this in future versions of Customizr.

Your fading slider works fine on my screen, ElectricFeet, although I think arrows look a bit odd with fading transition.
