+1 on the show editor helper to know fixed mine too. Geez, its crazy how simple this fix is. I installed old version of wordpress, old version of page builder, tried other page builders to find 12 hours later that its just show editor helper….wow

I rolled back to 1.2.10 and everything seems to work okay

can you go into your wp config file under cpanel file manager and turn set wp debug to true? Then go back to your site, run the browser inspect tool, click the console tab and read what console errors you are having? I had this same issue and this method helped me figure out that it was an update to my ultimateFAQ plugin. This method may seem intimidating but it is super easy and super helpful.

I had the same issue it turned out to be a conflict between my Ultimate FAQ plugin and Blackstudio. What helped out the most in diagnosing this problem is going into the wp config file and setting debug to true, running the inspect tool, clicking the console tab and seeing if there was any familiar text in there. I noticed faq, went and deactivated my faq plugin and voila. debug tool is very helpful.

Okay, mark this as resolved, definitely not just blackstudio, sorry for crying wolf it seems to be a conflict between my FAQ plugin(Ultimate FAQ) and blackstudio. When I rolled back my faq plugin everything jived again. Definitely a lot learned through this fiasco. Moral of the story, have a staging site and set your main site to not auto update. Sorry for blowing up your support page…

I went ahead and deleted page builder just for fun and visual editor works. It seems like the battle is finally over and Pagebuilder broke tiny mce lol. Anyway. I don’t care which route I take, I need to be able to edit my site. If there is a way to use another editor other than visual editor I would like to know, or if there is another way to use another page builder I will do that.

I also reverted back to 4.4.2 I believe and still have the same problem.

I reinstalled BSTMCE via ftp to no avail

Looked at caching, no luck….any ideas

I have the same problem. Mine is centered around blackstudio tiny mce plugin. Does anyone know if I can disable this plugin and keep my content. When I do, I get this message “The widget WP_Widget_Black_Studio_TinyMCE is not available. Please try locate and install the missing plugin. Post on the support forums if you need help.”

We are having the same problem…And we cannot edit any old blocks. So two problems we notice…

1)if I go to a page I want to edit->visual editor block inside the row-> visual editor will be blank and cannot click into it-> click text, my code will be there and I can change it…but if I do and hit done within visual editor. when I go back to page builder, that block gets changed back automatically.
2)Visual editor just flat out doesnt work

I can only assume this is a compatibility issue with the new version of wordpress that was just released…crap
