Hello all, where are you hosting? Search the forum for “Pharma” and “Dreamhost” – there are at least two Dreamhost clients reporting the same clean/re-infection problem (me being one of them).

Hello, if I can pick up here, GoDaddy offers a product which is a WordPress Hosted Website. This is what I have and what mschindele may have.

I did the same thing as mschindele and can’t get into my Php either. I notice that when the login error message comes back, it says that my usernmae is the SAME ONE as I use in WordPress wp-login.php, which makes me think the two are linked through the installation process.

I am currently on hold to GoDaddy to see if they can help me. Any further comments from the WordPress Moderators or other GoDaddy clients would be welcome.

OPTION 2. If you forget to change the WordPress Address and Blog Address, you will be unable to change it using the wordpress interface. However, you can fix it if you have access to the database. Go to the database of your blog and find the wp_options table. This table stores all the options that you can set in the interface. The WordPress Address and Blog Address are stored as siteurl and home (the option_name field). All you have to do is change the option_value field to the correct URL for the records with option_name=’siteurl‘ or option_name=’home‘.

Suppose you accidentally changed the URIs where you cannot move the files. (but still can access the login page, through a redirection or something)

wp-login.php can be used to (re-)set the URIs:

//FIXME: do comment/remove these hack lines. (once the database is updated)
update_option(‘siteurl’, ‘https://your.domain.name/the/path’ );
update_option(‘home’, ‘https://your.domain.name/the/path’ );

You’re done. Test your site to make sure that it works right. If the change involves a new address for your blog, make sure you let people know the new address, and consider adding some redirection instructions in your .htaccess file to guide visitors to the new location.

Just letting you know the fix was to deactivate Headspace 2 plugin.

This plugin was also messing with the media uploader.

I’d just like to contribute my experience with the same thing.

After the 3.0 upgrade I had the same problem with the media loader and a related problem with the Publish box where the drop down menus weren’t working.

I tried updating Headspace 2, but to no avail. Only deactivating got everything functional again.

Yes, I’ve tried deactivating everything except FCG and no luck. I think I’ll be implementing another gallery plugin, unless you or anyone else has had some luck making this work.

I’m still working my head around your posts – your problem-solving skills are a bit more advanced than mine, but I’ll get up to speed shortly. Did you have any further communications with Wishlist, especially about a patched-up release?

I’ve run Donncha’s Exploit Scanner plugin which came up clean and put some of the problem IPs into my WordPress blacklist. I’m running in Safe Mode at the moment because of the virus damage until I can get the o/s fixed.
