As you have not answered to this topic, I assume that downloading the new version of our plugin helped and am marking it as resolved now.

In reply to: [Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)] What to do with the trash?Hey PSCGOhio
Thank you for your suggestions. We currently do not provide an analytics dashboard for Rublon that would allow you to see all the data and statistics that you are writing about. We do plan to make one available in the future.
CC’ing anybody besides the user himself on the confirmation emails would not make it possible to verify the identity of the user because we would not be able to determine who really clicked on the confirmation link.
Hey PSCGOhio
Currently simply removing a trusted devices does not log you out of services that you use on that particular device. This is a feature that will be released very soon in one of the coming plugin updates.
As far as I correctly understand, you are removing your trusted device each time you stop using it. Is that correct? The idea of trusted devices is to set them up once and just leave them there, unless you really stop using them physically (e.g. you go on a vacation, sell them, or give them to somebody else). Remember that you still have to enter your password to access your account, even on a trusted device. This stops people from getting unauthorized access even if they can get ahold of your device.

In reply to: [Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)] No Button "Protect your Account"Hi Peter
Thank you for using Rublon!
Rublon now protects all accounts automatically based on your email address. There is no need anymore to manually protect your account.
By default, Rublon uses email to confirm your identity. If you would like more security, you can install the Rublon mobile app on your phone. Please make sure to register it using the same email address as you’re using on your WordPress account. The identity confirmation will then automatically switch to phone instead of email.

In reply to: [Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)] Rublon authorization errorHi voala
Thank you very much for your interest in Rublon.
It looks like there was a connection problem during plugin registration. Your server might be blocking outgoing cURL connections. Another possibility is that there was a timeout. Please check if your firewall or something else might be blocking those connections.
Is your WordPress website being hosted by a shared hosting provider or on a dedicated server?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Rublon Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)] RC_REST_CREDENTIALS_FAILUREIt looks like the update of OpenSSL might have prevented cURL from functioning properly. In order to fix this, please run the following commands on your server (I understand that you know how to do this since you were able to update OpenSSL yourself):
1.
ldconfigThis will recreate links and caches for your system libraries.
2.
Restart Apache (httpd) or if you use php-fpm, please restart the php-fpm process. Please let me know if this helps.
Hi Alvaro
Thank you very much for your kind words. Vint Cerf, one of the fathers of the Internet, recently asked everybody who’s building any platform that involves identifying users, to “please use two-factor authentication”. This security mechanism will become ubiquitous in a few years. Our goal is to make two-factor authentication as seamless as possible.
Your suggestion about adding roles & capabilities support is great. Thank you! We will be looking into this and will definitely implement this in one of our future releases.
Best regards

We have just released a new version of Rublon for WordPress that also supports PHP 5.2.17. We are working on testing it and getting it to run on even lower versions of PHP.
