Today we have released a new version of the plugin that requires you to confirm sending your email address to us before you can activate the plugin. Without giving consent by clicking on a checkbox, you will not be able to activate the plugin.

In order to activate itself, the plugin needs to retrieve an API key for your website from our Developer Area. In order to do this, the Developer Area needs to receive the email address of the administrator who is activating the plugin. This process has been automated. It is true that you were not informed about this. We will add a proper notification informing you of this in one of the upcoming versions of the plugin. Due to the need of releasing as much functionality as possible, as quickly as possible, we have unfortunately neglected this. Sorry.

We have already answered your ticket via our support system, but for clarification for other who might be reading this or who might have a smiliar issue, we’re pasting our response here also:
The only difference between our last two plugin versions was increasing the timeout of the plugin’s requests to our servers from 5 to 30 seconds, because in a few cases 5 seconds was not enough on some servers with a slower connection to our API. Since your server reports error 504, I’d guess it tries reaching our server for 30 seconds and then PHP cuts the execution of the script, returning error 504 (it might be that max execution time for PHP scripts on your server is close to 30 seconds as well). You wrote that the previous version of our plugin works without issues – when you sign in to your WordPress with this previous version installed, can you see the Rublon authentication screen, or does it go straight to the Administration Dashboard after you submit your login credentials? And when exactly did you see the 504 error – before scanning the QR code (= before the authentication screen), or afterwards?

You can have an unlimited number of trusted devices that allow you to access your accounts (by simply entering your password): all your laptops, tablets and smartphones. The Trusted Device Manager allows you to manage all your trusted devices and is available inside our mobile app and as a widget inside the WordPress Administration Dashboard. Due to security reasons, the Rublon mobile app can and should be installed on only one phone —?just like your SIM card can be in only one phone.
Recovering your mobile app account on a new device needs to be done in a secure manner, hence we require you to confirm that you do have access to your email address during recovery. All you have to do is enter a 4-digit PIN on your phone. We believe that everybody can do this easily since this is a known process used by many apps and companies. This process cannot be any simpler due to security reasons.
In order to ensure a high level of security for all our users, we are not able to let you install the mobile app on several devices and the recovery process is as simple as it can get. If these are the reasons why you gave us a 3-star rating, we unfortunately believe that it is not justifiable because the product works as advertised. We would be thankful if you could withdraw it because we do not think that it is fair.

Our technical department told us that it would be best if you could simply contribute the code that you have already implemented on a3rev.com. We would add it to the official plugin and of course credit you accordingly.

We haven’t looked thoroughly into making Rublon 100% compatible with WooCommerce yet. Please give us a few days until our technical department comes back to work after the holidays. We will analyze this and get back to you. Any help will be appreciated!
