Michael yes I believe editing that template is what is needed I just don’t understand the instant search process enough yet I think to know what JS objects I can reference to pull in the required fields in the algolia data set.

Is there a crash course in how instantsearch and algolia talk to each other so I can work out how/what elements can be changed in that template file?

I don’t have a version of the site I can share right now. But as a basic break down we stripped the instant search template back to just list blog posts in a list with thumbnail, title and the snippet/excerpt the default template was outputing.

Found this issue after debugging the setup on a client’s site as well. Rich pins with Pinterest would not validate with the plugin active. Disable the plugin and everything goes back to normal and validation works again.

I was afraid you’d say that. Thankfully the files needed to be excluded are minimal so won’t be too big a problem.

So I ran wp yoast index --reindex for around 30-45 min before killing it off as it overloaded our account and siteground sent us a message about overusage.

How else are we supposed to make this plugin work if none of the tools provided for it work on your standard shared hosting account.

Worse still we have a Premium version of the plugin.

@devnihil how do I run the ‘Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button’ via CLI is that as mentioned by Sasa above or some other way?

@stodorovic thanks might give it a try we have less than 1000 pages so fingers crossed, can’t be any more broken anyway

I think you might have mis-read my message Maybellyne, I was trying exactly that but clicking the reset indexables button results in the site just spinning doing nothing as the index did.

So was asking how I can solve that since the fix to fix the issue does not work either.

Thanks, Zach appreciate your willingness to help but messing with a site database to get your plugin to work isn’t a feasible working solution in my book. So we’ve swapped to an alternative editorial calendar plugin that doesn’t suffer from this issue.
