Ok, here is the update on this. After hours of time trying to fix, IT support giving up, numerous chats with host, dozens of emails from Elementor, I logged in yesterday and all of a sudden, Elementor started working. This happened before and after a couple of days it quit. Am considering changing hosts just in case it is a server issue.

Not sure how to disable custom code.

That makes sense but even when I deactivate all the plugins except for Elementor, it still doesn’t work. I would assume that means there isn’t a plugin conflict if they are all deactivated. When I try using it in Twenty Nineteen theme, it seems to work will all the plugins activated.

We don’t use SG optimizer. Rocket Loader is not turned on in Cloudfare. I used Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and disable all the plugins except for Elementor and it still didn’t work. Switched to Twenty Nineteen theme and it seemed to work ok.

Here is the weird thing about this issue. Our IT support, elementor tech support & host can’t recreate this problem on their end. When we try it in staging, it seems to work fine but will not work on the live site. What can cause this only on our end?

I was wrong on the permalink change suggestion. It is currently /sample-post/, not /%postname%/.

Yes, I have tried everything in the article. Very frustrated. It seems to work fine in staging but on live site, I keep getting the can’t edit message. Spent an hour with our host (Siteground) and it doesn’t appear to be a server issue.
This is what the host tech support said: the issue is local network cache and what I can help with is provide you with the steps to clear your local network cache. Tried clearing my dns cache with no improvement. Not sure how else to clear the local network cache.
Found another suggestion that said to check the structure of your permalinks. Consider changing permalinks to plain instead of /%postname%/.
Right now, I am unable to edit my site and is becoming a big issue. Any help would be appreciated.

I really need some help with this issue. All of my header blocks now have message “This block contains unexpected or invalid content”. They have not been edited or updated since the headers were added.
