Did you resolve this issue? We’ve never seen/heard about issues related to logged-in vs. not-logged-in users before.

We have never tested our plugin with the Buddypress Default Theme.

Our apologies for the confusion. Yes, AdRotate is required for this plugin to work.

If you haven’t found a solution to your problem, our Extended AdRotate Ad placements plugin might be able to help.
While designed for AdRotate, it might also work with the Promotions plugin.
We’re definitely interested to find out what other themes and ad plugins our new plugin works with, so if you decide to try it out, please let us know if it works for you.

We had the same issue with AdRotate not working with some of the ad placements in our SoloStream themes, so we developed a light-weight plugin that fixed the issue.
It might solve your issue in your Hades Bold Magazine Newspaper theme.
