I can not get my light box to function unless I disable my theme and use twenty-thirteen.

It appears to be an issue with the theme but a bug-fix was sent in which seems futile as the number of issues they have is so huge I doubt they will ever look at it….

I will be sure to submit a bug report after i carefully outline the issue.

– Set Permalinks to Post Name- Complete without success
– Disabled all plugins then re-enabled Next Gen Only- Complete without success
– Lightbox Effect is set to Lightbox- Complete without success

Set Theme to twenty thirteen- Complete and working.

Obviously this seems to point to a theme incompatibility as I had pointed out above as well as some others.

That being said the next question is where does that leave us. Basically all of us users in this thread and many others were working fine with our theme prior to updating Nextgen to 2.0.

Will someone assist us in trying to fix incompatibilities with themes or are you saying we must have a pro account to get support at this point due to the high volume of issues?

@apuley I had this same issue with 2.0.7 and 2.0.11.

@ renambot I will try your suggestion but as you said its a last resort. If you use the original wp-jquery-lightbox plugin you will not be able to use any custom templates that may display your thumbnails in a carousel etc inside/ below the light box or any other special effects.

The fact that none of us had this issue prior to 2.0 points to an issue with this plugin. Since I haven’t updated my prod site im not too worried at this moment and hopeful that the developer will see this thread is gaining hits and address this. I am willing to give them full access to my test site to resolve this problem.

I do fear that we cant stay on 1.9.13 forever though as new versions of wp come out that would no longer be supported.

OK i went ahead and set my theme from the HER them to Twenty Thirteen. This did allow the image to open in a light box. That being said even with that standard theme i can not get the gallery to display as anything but thumbnails. No matter the template or light-box type i can not get it to display like it does on the nextgen site with the black screen and thumbnails at the bottom.

Switching back to my Custom Theme and images no longer work in a light-box at all, works like i have no light-box selected.

Additionally no matter what the case my other plugin for my client proofing is still broken.

After updating to 2.0.11 Word Press Image Store is still broken. I had put in a bug fix earlier but I have a feeling its lost in all of the other fires that are being dealt with.

This plugin pretty much breaks the gallery and ability to open, select, view photos in this client plugin for proofing/ purchasing photographs.

Disabling the NextGen Plugin Did nothing to fix the issues with my other plugin.

Additionally on my site after installing this with the HER Theme the columns are not displaying in rows/ columns correctly.

I can give access to my test site if needed.

The 2.0 plugin has broken my Client Photography portal for serving up images to clients to purchase/ download.

I know quite a few photographers utilize this plugin for client proofing/ purchase and also NextGen for their website galleries.

This update removed the Thumbnails from my client galleries and broke functionality like selecting to add to cart, open to view in a lightbox etc. When I deactivated the NextGen Plugin it did restore the thumbnails but largely the application is still not functioning. I have also reached out to the developer of that plugin to see what he can do from his side however you may want to contact him to work out what the conflict may be.

One thing to think about is how would you only allow 5 or 20 items to be downloaded for free. Could you assign a number of free download credits to a package or something along those lines? Or another option could be to supply a promo code that take off a certain number of digital downloads that you apply in the cart? The only thing there is that it looks like your promo codes expire by a date and not number of uses. Therefore they could select 20 images and apply the 20 free promo. then turn around and do the same ting again on another 20 images.

I would also be very interested in this feature. My setup is like the others have stated. I upload say 40 images to a gallery and the clients get 5 images or 20 images as part of the package. I would like it so that they can get those for download free without checking out. Then they can also purchase any of the additional 20 images for print or purchase for digital download.

Like stated it would also be great for everything to link to a zip file so they get them all without downloading them all individually.

We got this to work by using a manual check out page with the estore plugin but its not as elegant. Basically it does a check and if the order is = to 0.00 it goes to a manual checkout and if its greater than 0.00 then redirect to the paypal checkout.
