Noted, though at the moment I can’t get MailChimp User Sync to work ?? – I posted a message on that forum a week ago.

If you have a wishlist, may I suggest adding this feature, i.e. a way to subscribe to/unsubscribe from a MailChimp newsletter directly from the BuddyPress profile.

Make sure WP User Frontend is installed.

Then create a form.

Finally follow the instructions I gave in my reply to the earlier add form ID in options, please help me! question re. adding the form id under Settings > UFA Settings.

BTW there is no event shortcode in the event description and the Event Talks button is not showing.

I am also experiencing the ‘Could not switch users.’ issue and I think it is because my host installs WordPress by default in a wp subdirectory, because when I manually add wp to the URL it does work.

I have tried adding alpipego’s temporary workaround to my functions.php file but it is not making any difference.

This issue seems to have existed for a while. Do you plan to fix it? Can you help me in the meantime?

Good idea.

I tried to lobby Calum a few times to bring back the Ultimate Member forums for this purpose, with no success. It is a real shame how Ultimate Member has gone from something buzzing to almost radio silence in a year. Bit disappointing and frustrating particularly for those of us that are paid subscribers.

Thanks Luke, but since the existence of an “event custom post type” is highlighted for this plugin, I’d like to know if I can harness my existing form/posting plugins which can handle CPTs, e.g. Toolset.

I’d like to use a form/posting plugin I have (Toolset or Super Forms), that can submit custom post types, to submit Event Organiser events. Is this possible?

Create a form (User Frontend > Forms).

Copy the id of the newly created form, e.g. wpuf_form id=”369″.

Go to Settings > UFA Settings and paste the form id, as set out above.

Hear, hear re. the lack of news and updates, plus the closure of the forums – killed the community in an instance (slightly ironically).

Posted three support tickets on Monday. No acknowledgement or response in 5 days.

Hopefully things, including the dissemination of news, will pick up now the support person is on board.
