The developer of the theme is sort of a lost cause. I’m just the guy who was called in to pick up the pieces and I’m not great even at that… know of any freelancers interested in some work???

Ok, when switching to twentyfifteen, I am able to see the content. I didn’t change anything at all with the theme. One minute I’m adding content and seeing it, the next it’s not there. So the problem is with my theme… any ideas now?

Yes on the deactivating all plugins, no on the switching themes. I was worried I might lose something in the process. Could I lose anything when switching?

.. oh man, so I tried that and it didn’t quite work. Also, it has somehow affected the list on the category page too. It now looks a little off, especailly the title. I’m going a little nuts here, thanks for your help!

Thank you so much for your help! I did already create a new div set at 80% and that seems to work fine, but I can not figure out why the sidebar sits right on the edge of the page and the text sits to the right of the center…

Kind of, I am still having trouble getting the sidebar to look like it does on the category pages….

I was hoping I wasn’t going to have to do that. When I add the sidebar call before the content area, it actually shows up above the content and when I add it just before the footer it shows up below, even when I create a width for the contentArea.

It’s a custom theme called stageonepromotions.

I am having a similar issue but I don’t think mine is due to caching. For some reason my child theme’s style.css is not being called to override. https://www.stageonepromotions.com/cms123/category/dance-bands Any ideas why?

Thanks for your help alchymyth! I have adding the sidebar in to be viewed. I have also figured out the css controlling the behavior but for some reason adding the code to my child theme style.css does not take effect. I add it to my style.css file but when I inspect the page the code doesn’t change. Any ideas about that? I could certainly just change the parent style.css but I’d rather keep the integrity of the client’s original theme (which was not created by me). Thanks again for your help!

Hey Kevin, The photo gallery works fine but the video gallery doesn’t load. It’s the little grey loader below the text box. I think it’s conflicting with some other script but can’t find where or how. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply! Why are the images rendering differently? The base image sizes are exactly the same and I haven’t added any styling to either image. Also, if you look at the padding between the text on the sides and bottom the right has quite a bit more.
