I have this same issue – surprised more people aren’t mentioning this – as it seriously limits the promotional use/effect on Facebook

For me – unless I find a solution…Im going to have to re-do a project.

One way around the Feature Images/Pages issue is to use a redirect plug-in.

One page’s featured image is the one you see on the homepage. – and then you can configure the redirected page a little differently.(different featured image.)

I think you can just right click>view info on the images to see their sizes.

Its extra work – but gets the desired effect.

Ok – I upgraded my production site to the newest version of Opulus(after downgrading)

I think – the suggestion posted by “NighthawkCH” DOES work. (if you tired it, and it didn’t work…you need to “Edit” the page – and add the image at the bottom in the Nimbus banner box. (make you sure you tell it to display Full Size.)

And I think I have the Widgets figured out – I think the names are confusing if you were using the older version of the theme.

So – I think Im all set!

Ok – Im going to have to start over.

I went back to my original demo site…ran the wordpress update and the Opulus theme update.

The newest version of this theme – the banners work quite differently…I think that might be the source of some confusion here (and the code may well be broken!)

So – I was able to get the above header.php code edit to work – but it still didn’t display quite right. Shows the image too small and in an IFRAME or something…but this is after running the theme upgrade.

And, after running the theme upgrade I still have the older theme options page (with the broken CSS navigation where the links dont quite display right)

Maybe theres something screwy going on the database side.

Two sites – identical software, same server…different results.(Theme options page)

I rolled back to 2.0.1 – but now I can’t add widgets to the main page…and it seems like I still have the 2.3.1 version of the admin screen. (linked from Dashboard > WP Opulus Page Options)

I can turn off the Demo Widgets – but that feature shouldn’t even be part of 2.0.1

So – despite rolling back – some parts of the new version aren’t being deleted. (or so it seems)

I dont even have 30 lines in this version of header.php

Found the line of code – but comparing the new file to the old header.php file – The old file is MUCH longer.

Same here – With the fix – the header image DOES show when the page is NOT set as home – but as soon as you set it as HOME – no image, or image options in edit.

Also – is there a way to increase the number of posts that appear in the frontpage mini-blog feed?
