Regarding the procedure you have given, I assume that the “Backup” steps are not necessary (I’ve nothing to back up). Also, there is nothing to restore. So, the part about installing XAMPP is probably not right for my situation as written.

Finally, where does a brand new, empty of data MYSQL data base come from?
