    After more investigation, it appears that the Product Options and Fields plugin I am using is the culprit. The options chosen by the user are returned in a non-json format. When I remove the plugin it works fine. I will work witht he developer to resolve that issue as the plugin is critical to the customer experience.

    The theme I am using is Twenty Twenty Four – I will try a full conflict test and let you know the results. I am using Wordfence; its possible I have something turned off that should be on to allow JSON interaction, not sure what it would be though.

    **Update**

    After looking at this for a while, I think the issue is the Wordfence firewall is blocking the requests but I do not know what setting to flip to allow the traffic.

    The website is using “Twenty Twenty-Four” as t he theme. I deactivated all the plugins and it would appear that the issue occurs when I enable the “Wholesale Prices & Tiered Pricing” by WebWizards. I will have to figure out how to replace that functionality.
