In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 Total Cache Error = white screen of deathOk, I just tested the wordpress 4.7 upgrade with the new version of W3 Total Cache. The error still occurs and problem has not been solved. W3 Total Cache please could you do an update to correct this issue?

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 Total Cache Error = white screen of deathI see W3 Total Cache issued an updated version of their plugin yesterday. They never mentioned this major problem in the notes about the fixes (unhelpfully of them). Did that update fix this ‘server 500 for login area’ issue?

In reply to: I can’t log in to my dashboard after upgrading to 4.7Thank you. Though I understand first hand the incredible stress this issue causes, I wouldn’t desert W3 Total Cache as it is the best caching plugin (I saw on the W3 support site you said you might). Just wait until they issue an updated version that is compatible with the wordpress 4.7 update. For me, I used a backup to downgrade wordpress on my website and I’ll wait for W3 to get themselves sorted before attempting to upgrade again.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 Total Cache Error = white screen of deathI am reading lots of reports (on wordpress support) that it is W3 Total Cache that is the cause of the 500 server errors that prevent access to admin area after upgrading to 4.7. When I reinstalled a backup and then turned W3 Total Cache off (ie: disabled via plugins area) and then installed WordPress 4.7 again I got the exact same error. Does W3 Total Cache need to be totally deleted rather than just disabled?

In reply to: I can’t log in to my dashboard after upgrading to 4.7That is interesting, well done solving it by removing W3 total cache. My problem still existed when I disabled W3 total cache or is simply disabling not enough, does it need to be deleted?

In reply to: Update Gone WrongThis is a problem that I and loads of people have. Install your previous backup and do not upgrade to 4.7 again – instead wait for wordpress to issue a working version.

In reply to: I can’t log in to my dashboard after upgrading to 4.7This is a common problem a lot of people have, me included. You need to reinstall a backup that you hopefully have from before your upgrade and that will put you in the position you were in before you upgraded. Then do not upgrade to 4.7 until they release a fix for this serious wordpress bug.

In reply to: Error on upgrade 4.7Clearing caches does not solve it for me either.

In reply to: Error on upgrade 4.7Yes, I have identical problem to OP. Creates server 500 error for admin area only (which is not accessible), but rest of website does still show.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Missing space in title and "Blank Business Name"Ok, I have found the cause of the ‘by’ being hard up to the date. After hours of fiddling, solution is that you need to untick ‘minify’ html setting in W3 Total Cache plugin. The space will return between the date and the ‘by’.
The minify setting removes unnecessary space and speeds up page load. Unfortunately WP Customer Review plugin places this space between divs. On the next upgrade please could that space be part of the text ie: either ‘date space’ or ‘space by’. It should not be between divs. WP Customer Reviews is a great plugin, but this change would help a lot as W3 Total Cache needs to be compromised at the moment to work around this issue.
Also, possibly similar to OP, I hate “on Product name” next to every single review. So unnecessary and odd-looking. Please could this be removed or an option to remove it incorporated to next update. I couldn’t for the life of me get CSS to remove it (any ideas how to do this?). Thanks.

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeI was hoping for some real help with this serious bug, but no, we get the old “clear you cache” routine.

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeMy text is not from Word. It is copied from a text file only and I have been doing the same thing for several years – yet the problem only starts now. @clare12345 use my workaround of firefox and then only pasting into the ‘text’ window.

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeMy workaround is to use firefox and then only to paste in the html ‘text’ window. Even with firefox I get problems in the ‘visual’ edit window. This bug needs mending.

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeI updated theme to this version: “2015.12.14 – version 5.9.15” and did not solve the issue. So this error may not relate to Canvas theme, but rather the wordpress update.

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeOk, I just read the master post by the moderator of known bugs and saw this:
Canvas Theme (for WooCommerce) – It seems to be throwing error in category-template.php on line 1158 and we’re not sure why yet. This has been reported upstream.
I am using Canvas theme from woothemes. No idea if that is relevant or a red herring for this “Aw Snap pasting bug”.
@johnhorneguitar – what theme are you using?
