Your theme is simple and easy to navigate. Good color choices too.

The only thing that I don’t like is the background. It tends to distract my eyes from the main content. But, that’s just me…it’s a cool picture.

I don’t see any problems. I like the theme, it’s simple and functional, and easy to navigate. Colors are bold, but not distracting.

There was a prior comment to mine that indicated something fishy about your site. I concurred with that comment. Been spammed plenty of times with sites on this forum.

Your site doesn’t seem slow to me. But, go ahead and switch to Ghost….the millions of WordPress users probably won’t notice.

I think the sidebar font size is OK, the text color is too dark.

In your style sheet you have an ID: #secondary with an rgb color that is some form of gray. I would change the color to white: #FFFFFF.

I tested it with Firebug and it looks a whole lot better.

From my experience, about 5 seconds is good for each image. Anything longer and the viewer may change pages before another image appears.

I don’t agree that it should be left up to the viewer to change images on the home page. It’s a good highlight to what the site offers. They can navigate through the gallery at their own pace.

The only thing I didn’t like was when you go to the Gallery page and then select one of the galleries, you open a new tab in the browser. I think you should stay on the same tab.

I think your theme is OK. Simple navigation and layout is good.

IMHO, you should remove the social buttons at the bottom of all the snippets and only have them on the full article. I would be surprise if anyone “liked” an article based only on the snippet.

I agree with Andrew. Your social icons should be at the end of the full article, not at the end of every snippet on the blog page.

Your comparison to Google and Bing and your website are two different things. Google and Bing only show images that are already on another website and they link the image to that site.

Using images on your site with no attribution to the original owner is copyright infringement. Even with a credit, using the full size image is infringing. Do a search of “Fair Use”

Are these photo’s you took yourself?

If not, even if you provide them for free, you are most likely infringing on the original photographers copyright. I would be careful providing copyrighted material that you don’t have a licensing agreement for or hold the copyright yourself.

It looks like if you want to download the sheet music, you have to go to a site that is not in the USA and will most likely get spammed or attacked by a virus.

Be careful anyone if you follow the links.
