I’ll just go into the core PHP and remove the “next quote” block entirely. I’ll never want it anyway and if the options coded into the plugin won’t work, then at least there’ll be no code in the page to cause the screwup. Appreciate the assist.

    1. I can’t change the PHP version unfortunately, or it breaks too many other plugins I regularly use/need with WP, and I’ve already been strained having most of those turned off while working out this one issue. I may ultimately just have to say ‘too bad’ to the idea of having the random quotes appear on my blog and dump this one plugin for too much trouble (no offense to you, you’re doing great, just the reality of needing to get the rest of the site going and not hung up on one non-vital function).
    2. There are about a half-dozen quotes they just happen to all by Oscar Wilde, but no I don’t know why it is but you can sometimes refresh the browser a dozen times before it cycles to another quote. I haven’t changed anything there since I first reported this issue.
    3. Currently I’ve been using the Seedlet theme (I typically start with a blank or minimalist theme and right now Seedlet has been the best to work with Elementor builder). Also: I have had Elementor completely deactivated and even briefly totally deleted and still had the issue with Quotes Llama plugin, so I have resumed turning it back on since it doesn’t seem to be the source of the problem here. There are, as far as I can tell, no conflicts with any other plugins I’ve installed causing this issue.

    WordPress 6.1.1

    PHP 8.1.14

Also have run debugging, no errors coming up and nothing I see mentions this plugin

I was trying to edit using Elementor Pro, but even when I turn all that off and only use the Classic Editor, this still occurs.

I’m currently attempting to just edit a Blank template, but it’s happened no matter what template or theme I try to work with.

And yes I have multiple quotes up, but sometimes it seems to also take several refreshes of the browser window to get a new one to populate.

Just to double-check, I turned off all my plugins except Quotes Llama, emptied cache, tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox), made sure to clear their individual browser histories to re-check…and yeah, nothing I do including deactivating/reactivating the plugin itself fixes anything.

Fundamentally, no matter what I do, if I click an option on or off like to not have images or next quote links appear, the settings page saves the setting as if it took, but on my actual front page nothing has changed.

Yes. have tried all of these steps before I even posted to this forum.

Nothing in fact “turns off” at all. You can’t turn off image, next quote link, anything. If you attempt to do so, they just stay on as you refresh pages. The only way to get rid of any particular undesired element at this point is to erase the information (ie blank out the Image URL in those settings), but of course that just empties the space they occupy–it doesn’t get rid of it at all.

Sorry forgot to include link: anartistinparis.com

That white line along the bottom of the box won’t go away and I can’t readily find the CSS that controls the appearance to stylize Quotes Llama’s box to better fit the aesthetic I want for the site.
