I am unable to replicate this.

I put several URLs into a WP database like this:
https://blah.com/ovi/1.jpg

Then I used the plugin to change them to /neu and this is what I ended up with:

https://blah.com/neu/1.jpg

I think if it’s not working for you, that it’s some issue other than the WP3.9 database changes. You did say it wasn’t working for you prior to those changes. Perhaps you have a character set problem.

Replace works fine for me and the web developer I gave it to for testing. What exactly are you doing?

It has been modified to be WP3.9-compatible. You need to place the file from the zip above into your existing search-and-replace plugin folder.

I found the problem. My theme has already been modified (incorrectly, apparently) for Contextual Related Posts. The line:

<?php if(function_exists(‘echo_ald_crp’)) echo_ald_crp(); ?>

Was causing the related posts to appear regardless of the config settings.

My assertion the theme didn’t already have related posts support in it was obviously incorrect. I should have said there wasn’t support for some other related posts plugin. ??
