In reply to: Page keeps losing it background materialThat was for another site I was having some of the same problems with. This site just has a theme putting out a blog page that is not in my dashboard “pages’. It’s not the one I created and linked to the menu.

Even though the menu says “blog” it’s going to the wrong page. The post on in my dashboard but it’s loads a different page then the one I made up and linked.
I created a new page for the blog called “different blog page” and it still goes to this default page I don’t know where it is in the dashboard.
Seems to be my only problem, thanks for the help.Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: Page keeps losing it background materialJust got this reply on a test domain I set up to see if I can duplicate the problem and I did. There are no images or styling on this site.
https://ronaldc64.sg-host.com/Thank you for your patience.
After conducting thorough tests on ronaldc64.sg-host.com, I want to assure you that the issue is not related to SiteGround’s WordPress installer. The root cause appears to be how the default WordPress editor (Gutenberg) and block-based themes interact, specifically with the application of your theme’s styles.
When inspecting the site through the browser’s developer tools while editing, I noticed that both your theme’s style.css (/wp-content/themes/eco-green/style.css?ver=6.7.1) and the default WordPress styles (/wp-includes/css/dist/block-editor/style.min.css?ver=6.7.1) are being applied. However, the default editor styles are taking precedence over the theme’s CSS, which is why you’re not seeing the theme styles in the design while editing.
To clarify, I’ve found several discussions in WordPress forums, where the suggested solutions often involve creating a child theme and explicitly enqueuing the theme’s style.css file within the block editor. You can refer to this thread for further context: StackOverflow – style.css not applying on WordPress theme?
That said, a simpler solution I’ve tested would be to use a page builder plugin such as Elementor or OtterBuilder. With these plugins, I’ve confirmed that the theme’s style.css loads correctly in the editor, allowing you to edit your pages with the theme styles properly applied.
I hope this helps to clarify the issue. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else.
Kind Regards,
Atanas Velev

In reply to: Page keeps losing it background materialNoting to do with the ”?plugin “Speed Optimizer”” just when I preview the page from dashboard I get a white background and black text.
I then dump the cache in the browser and got it to work but really I have to go to Siteground tools and restore backup database.

What would I change these to?Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Why new Block format???OK let’s keep this constructive so Word Press has a plan to move forward. Since writing this post and sharing the classic plug in with my client he has still not understood the tutorial I made to start writing posts. Even with my video example and the easier classic editing he still has not engaged.
I fear Word press will be a thing of the developers and creative producers going forward and leaving the common folk behind. In video editing we determine who’s your target audience and then edit for them.

In reply to: Why new Block format???Yes already found it. My message please keep the classic. I work with older people and this is what they are used to.

In reply to: Why new Block format???Yea, Yea I agree with you all but I am trying to teach people to write on the blog and those blocks will drive them crazy. They are used to word document formatting. I hope the creators never get rid of the classic or I will have to find something else to have my clients use.
They are not internet savvy.

In reply to: [Travel Notes] HeaderI see it can be done by going to home page settings and making a static home page. Then go to that home page and select page attribute/template (home page banner). This will set the video as a background
