I have asked WP to remember me when I log in so no, I am not using another company to store my password in fact, I never knew you could do such a thing! As for a security problem, I keep a very strong watch where security is concerned and am positive there is not a problem in that area. Dike, your help is great but sad to say that I don’t match up to your expectations when you say “lastly this process will be a little techi so i expect you’re good and familiar with your database”. I don’t know how to but would like to know how to open my sites phpMyAdmin. All I know is how to open the admin side of my site eg,
https://ifield……. etc/wp-admin. From there I make changes etc to the site. Sorry to say, when opened /wp-admin, I could not find anything relating to a database so would appreciate it if you could tell me where it is and how I get into it please??

Thank you for coming back to me but I have sorted the problem by unsubscribing to every thing shown on the Forums Drop Down menu. How they all became ‘Subscribe’ I know not but all in all I had about 700 Notifications from https://www.www.remarpro.com.forums <noreply.wordporess.org> addressed to [email protected]? As I am sure you are aware, I am ronb8 . Having unsubscribed from everything, I am now assuming I will now have to subscribe to Miscellaneous before I can get your reply. When I look at these Notifications I see the following

From:- www.remarpro.com.forums<[email protected]>
To:- [email protected]

I am not noreply, I am [email protected] so why am I getting all these notices, any idea please?

Incidentally, I do not care where we communicate, now I know that I can read your responses I am quite happy on here and thanks for your help thus far.

Andrew,
I have got “Subscribe” showing in each of the themes in the Forum drop down menus yet I am still getting Notifications? What else could I do to stop them please, is there a problem with WP please?

I have gone down the whole list of Themes and unsubscribed from the lot in the hope this will stop these Notifications. I am only interested in emails coming to me in response to requests for help or to help someone else. Hopefully I have found the answer to my problem.

OK Andrew, I have looked at these notices and clicked on the Unsubscribe. Does this mean I will continually have to do this for all these notifications individually that I am getting or is there a block way of stopping them please?

Dear Andrew,
Wonderful!! someone has answered my cry for help and I have been able to read what you have to say. You have no idea what problems I have had with WP. Up to now, I have had about 500 notifications, nothing to do with anything I have been involved with until now. It got so bad that I routed all these notices to my “Delete” box direct, but looked at their headings before pressing the delete button. I have copied and pasted some of the latest bunch. I know not what they are all about. Up to now I have been to my Dashboard > Settings > Discussion > and unchecked all the boxes on the screen in the hope that it would stop the continuous supply of notifications but alas, no luck. If yo9u can give me any help with this problem, I will be over the moon and very grateful. I live in W.Sussex, UK, not to far away. Please stay in touch?

Marius, Will you please find out why I am getting continuous Notifications? I opened my “In Box” to find 466 of them waiting for me! I have been to my Dashboard – Settings – Discussion and unchecked every box on the screen and I am still getting Notifications. How do I get rid of them please??

You are in the same boat as me then, All I get is a load of Chinese entries.

Thank you Marius, I fully appreciate your action in removing my personal contact details. It was out of total frustration that I put them on this site in the first place. I have been trying for days to get some support as to which PlugIn would be suitable to automatically music when a particular page is opened on my web site. People have replied but I have never been able to find their replies once I have opened the email link and logged in. I still fail to understand how I can log in go back to the relevant forum and find their post?
As a matter of interest I have just received about fifty posts, some of which are in Chinese!! I don’t know if there is a problem here but all I want to do is to be able to read what people are sending me once and if I can ever find it. If you can help me with this problem, I will be very grateful.

Thank you for your last reply Michael. I have printed the item you sent the link for and will sit and digest. Unfortunately, I have yet to find out where to find responses I receive from those trying to my requests for help. No doubt, if you have been using WP regularly, it all comes easy but to a novice it is a nightmare. I just wish WP would consider the not so clever users, it would make life a lot easier. Perhaps they don’t want us to use it at all?
