In reply to: WordFence Blocking Genuine Signups?Wordfence is the worst plugin around.

In reply to: WordFence Blocking Genuine Signups? Thanks to Wordfence and its uptight security. I have lost three customers who were logged out after signing up and when contacted said they weren’t interested any longer. No reply to original plugin support question. Poor.

In reply to: WordFence Blocking Genuine Signups?Have to admit don’t have a clue what to tick and or untick when it comes to wordfence. So disabling and ‘un-pluggin’ from the system. I’ll find something else.

In reply to: Name and Email Left on Comments Page?Thank you Seth for replying and your comments, most helpful. I love my Rss always have since 2007 and want a more responsive one than is available, ie; two or even three different feeds on same page. A lot of plugins these days seem to go for overcomplicating and taking over just about anything and everything without giving the user the option of what they want to do, such as yours which allowed me to split down what is best for my site. I’ll close this post after this and with a big thankyou. I’m a fan of developers simply because the’ve made my life and my websites that much more functional and of course simple. Nice to chat to some one who knows his ‘onions’.
Cheers.

In reply to: Name and Email Left on Comments Page?I thought that’s what blogging was all about though? Social commentary. The to and fro of debate and explanation? Is the medium dead?

In reply to: Name and Email Left on Comments Page? Thanks Seth I used your plugin over the disable comments because it offers more freedom and I am happy with it. I wasn’t thinking too much about that as an issue only didn’t realise about cookies???Duuh?? Sorry I sounded some dumb, must be one of those days ??
Now I know I can revert back to your plugin, thanks. As I say though I posted here thinking it was part of the 4.23 update and not specifically any kind of plugin. Just was just round-housing to see what might be the problem. Thanks again.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Name and Email Left on Comments Page?No reply from this forum, so disabled no page comment plugin and went back to disable comments plugin. No comments no email and name showing on page. Probably thanks to this 4.23 update I’ve been reading about on this forum string. If any one has had a similar experience please add a comment to this post as I would like people to comment on my blog page without their name and email left behind for the next person to come along and find it. Until then.

In reply to: [LDD Directory Lite] Page Not Found errorDidin’t realise the two example links would actually come up as clickable links. Sorry guys.

In reply to: [LDD Directory Lite] Page Not Found errorhad the same problem when I first set it up, followed Jill Andersons advice about setting the taxonomy and slug differently to listings for taxonomy and listing for slug, didn’t work at first but then added a forward slash to the end of the slug listing/ and the page appeared. If you watch the search in your top search bar you will see the first come up as https://wwwdotyoursite.com/listings/thenameofbusiness then when you click the link to take you to the full page it reads https://wwwdotyoursite.com/listing/thenameofbusiness two similar addresses but one with the s and one without. By adding the / to the slug it completes the search term listing/whatevername. You can see this working at https://www.beeconnectedsunderland.co.uk click on the Businesses link and watch for the changes mentioned above.
Hope this helps somebody as I think this is just right as a plugin in terms of being what it says on the tin – lite. Enough to sperate listings and add from the rest of the site. If we push the developers enough maybe there’ll be some improvements and support. Great plugin.
