Hi to Move social icons to the Footer you need to Edit the contents of header.php. Copy the social Icons code and move it to Footer.php. But, you are on your own here. Do this is u have minimal HTML/CSS knowledge.

Also, if you want an exmail subscription option. You could enable jetpack and add its email subscribe to any of the footer widgets.

You need to edit archive.php file, and replace the_excerpt() by the_content()

And for second question, you need edit header.php and replace the icons with your desired text or image.

That could happen for a very short time period on slow internet devices. I wouldn’t consider a major issue.

For top, you need to use the Header Image, and not the Background Image.
