    Hi @jezkerw,

    Thanks for reaching out.

From your WordPress admin dashboard, go to Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types, select a content type like “Posts,” and enter a Meta description. The description will then be applied to all the posts under that content type.

    Hi @henrik0sec

    Thanks for reaching out.

Upon checking the screencast you’ve shared, I noticed that you’re running a severely outdated version of the Yoast SEO plugin (v18.4.1). Please check that your site meets our plugin requirements and update to the latest version, 23.2.

Please let us know if the issue remains after updating the plugin to the latest version.

    Hi @animefairyland,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin.

This happens when there are more visible columns than what fits on the screen. Please click Screen Options in the upper right corner and uncheck columns that you do not use regularly.

    Hi @chrislc,

    Thanks for reaching out.

There are options to disable feeds under the Crawl Optimization feature in the Yoast SEO plugin.

Since your category feeds are disabled, I recommend checking whether you’ve disabled the category feeds under the Crawl Optimization settings as mentioned here: https://yoast.com/help/yoast-seo-settings-crawl-optimization/#h-remove-category-feeds.

    Hi @spierbouwers,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand that the company name is not showing correctly in SERP.

Can you please check whether the company name is showing correctly if you check the source code of the page showing in SERP?

If it’s correct, it can take some time for Google to index the changes you made, depending on how often they crawl your site. So, we’ll have to wait for Google to crawl your site again. Sometimes you can speed up this process as described in this article:?How to update information in Google search results

    Hi @valerie1980,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin.

We are sorry to hear the Yoast meta box that generally appears under the content was moved to the sidebar. We know how frustrating it is when something doesn’t work how you expected.

We are aware of a reported issue with the block editor where the meta boxes under the content can be pushed to the sidebar, sometimes accidentally. In short, the under-content and sidebar list of boxes appear to be a single list. Due to the sidebar setup being stored per user and browser, we cannot fix this for your account. However, we can provide you with guidance on moving the sidebar meta box back under the content.

So let’s do this together, step by step. If you get stuck at a step, please tell us the step number and provide us with a screenshot of what you see so we can better assist you.

    1. Go to the add new post screen.
    2. If the sidebar DOES NOT show ‘Document’ and ‘Block’, click on the gear or sidebar icon next to the ‘Publish button’.
    3. Click the kebab three-dot menu.
    4. Click on ‘Options’.
    5. Under ‘Advanced Panels’, check ‘Custom fields’ and click ‘Enable & Reload’.
    6. The page should refresh, and you will see a ‘Custom fields’ section below the content and above the ‘Document’ line. You may have to scroll down to see the ‘Custom fields’ section.
    7. In the sidebar (while the gear or sidebar icon is selected), you will see a ‘Yoast SEO’ section. You may need to scroll down in the sidebar or minimize some areas.
    8. Click the up arrow ‘^’ next to the ‘Yoast SEO’ section. The meta box will move from the sidebar to the under-content area.
    9. Click the arrow on the right side to expand (if minimized) the Yoast SEO section.
    10. Disable the ‘Custom fields’ section using the above steps that enabled it.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with; we’re happy to help.

    Hi @lisaxplore,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin.

The Yoast SEO plugin does not parse different sitemaps for different languages. We add all the languages to the same sitemap. So all posts (regardless of language) will appear on the post sitemap.?Doing it this way will not hurt the SEO or how Google crawls your site.

Furthermore, the?hreflang?tag is generated by your multilingual plugin. We recommend reviewing this guide to ensure you are not missing anything:?https://yoast.com/hreflang-ultimate-guide/.

In addditon, as you’re using WPML, please make sure that you’ve installed and activated the WPML SEO glue plugin as explained in this guide from WPML:?https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/using-wordpress-seo-with-wpml/.

    Hi @tutumu

The save button will be disabled till you make any changes.

If the button is still disabled after making any changes, we’d like you to perform a conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.
